- Q: i bench press 175
- If you want to know what the *average* male 125 lb 17 year old can bench press, the answer is that it actually is fairly low. Due to the fact that the average teenager (and person) is not very active and is certainly not an athlete, the average person has no built up strength. Though it is true that some people a naturally stronger than others, the average weight for a newbie to weightlifting is 105 for 125lbs. Some may be more and some may be less than this, but this is a good average across different fields. When I first started benching at 15, I could barely bench my bodyweight (130 lbs), despite being a great high school athlete. 175 is a really good bench for only being 125lbs. When I was a Junior in high school my best bench was 210lbs (at 135). That was good for 6th best in my weight class at Ohio's HS State Weightlifting meet. Clearly, you aren't that far from being a great bencher... keep up the great work and enjoy lifting!
- Q: Can u lose weight with bench pressing cause your still burning calories and that? I know it's 4 building muscle and all that but u burn calories doin it?? So I dunno,, Plz answer
- Yes it can be really effective cause there is a load of different exercises you can do with the bench press. There are exercises to target every muscle group that you can do with the bench press so just do those with light weights and high many reps. But diet is very important if you wanna loose weight. So dont just do the normal chest exercise look up some other exercises to do also so you target all muscles correctly
- Q: So I've been getting acrylics done at a salon every 2-3 weeks for a little under a year now. Today I realized I probably spend about $400 a year on these nails ($25 every time I go) and I was wondering about getting pre-glued nails, like from a drug store to maybe save money. I get the acrylics done because I work in a resturant, and my real nails used to break or the polish would chip after one shift. So would press-on nails work as well as my salon acrylics? Or would they just fall right off? How long do they last? Can I keep putting new ones right back on, like I do with the acrylics? Is it bad (well, i guess worse) for my nails? Suggestions/tips?thank you :)
- i would totally go for the press ons because acrylics are so bad for your nails once the are taken off or broken they leave your natural nail in horrible condition and acrylics hold so much bacteria under the nail. Press ons usually last up to a week or Two but you can always buy nail glue then just glue them back on. you also can change up the design when ever you want to. so my vote is totally for the press ons.
- Q: I know you press c to crouch but how do you role?
- Simply press the keys for movement to either side. You're probably using WASD keys, so A to roll left, and D to roll right while crouching. Note that you will have to press these keys while stationary. If you're moving forward while crouching, you'll just change direction, not roll. You may also be suing the Arrow keys, in which case, left arrow for left and right arrow for right. Happy Rolling!
- Q: would doing assisted bench presses (with a machine) gain me as much mass to the chest as doing regular bench pressing? Is there a difference in the amount of mass you would gain or is it basically the same?
- the asisted bench press just keeps your arms straight and guides you so you dont go down and cant get back up but you do need to increase the weight cause the bar isnt standarded olympic bar weight. my trainer allows told me the machines are for getting ripped and free weights are for getting big but logically as long as you putting up the same weight the same amount of mass is built but i prefer free weight benching
- Q: Does anyone know any routine where i can boost up my bench and other strengths like pullups and shoulder press all that power stuff. I bench 250 at 215 30%bodyfat
- just keep benching at different angles flat bench incline bench decline bench 4 sets each an add a dumbell press in there also train chest 2x a week... an also do deadlifts an squats to get stronger take casein protein before bed
- Q: Lately I have been reading negative press on Hillary Clinton as a congress woman. Since she is running for president I want to know if people believe the reporting is bias because she is a woman and people are afraid of her.
- On the contrary, most press she gets is positive, and being pushed by the ultraright conservative press. These guys pushed her to run, and kept touting she would be a good president, but of course it is a scam---they want her to run, since the data show that she is not electable---hence whoever the republicans field will be the next president. Hopefully John Edwards will overcome her unfair press advantage and get the nomination, we need a moderate in office that actually acknowledges there is work to be done in our nation, not in Iraq.
- Q: i want the information about the fat reducing press.
- This is a really obscure question, and I'm not at all certain that I've found the correct answer to it. The meaning of the patriotic fat reducing press of 1790 was ... I think ... the process during the French Revolution in which the monarchy was overthrown and the King (plus his family and chief advisers) was imprisoned. The King was referred to as a fat hog, because he grew fat off the labors of his subjects. His imprisonment was the patriotic fat reducing press, because it prevented him from growing 'fat' in that way any longer. My explanation for this answer lies in the following excerpt from an article by Katharine Macdonogh in History Today magazine, Vol. 46, August 1996. The widespread use of animal metaphor during the French Revolution provides insight into the mentality of a predominantly rural population living in a pre-industrial age. Hebert and his sort released metaphorically the wild beasts from the famous Versailles menagerie and caged the monarchs in their place. Marie Antoinette is ever the 'archtigress', or the 'Austrian she-wolf', and her children are 'the little wolves'; Louis XVI is most frequently likened to a pig -- Clery recorded seeing graffiti on the wall of the Temple promising 'we shall find a way of reducing the great hog's fat'.
- Q: How many times has Her Majesty had to issue gag orders to the press since taking the throne?
- no but she can wave at them and cut ribbons to their new buildings
- Q: i have a drill press but i cant figure out how to reverse the drill after i have drilled the hole.. help
- Linda, unlike portable drills, stationary drill presses normally do not have a reverse function. Portable drills have a reverse function because they are used when driving screws into materials. To remove the screw, the drill has a reverse function to accomdate this need. However, drill presses aren't used to drive screws and don't have a reverse function. Normally, after the hole is drilled using a drill press, the operator pushes the control arm upwards, while the motor is still running, and the spinning drill bit raises up out of the hole. hopes this anwers your question...good luck
