- Q:does bench pressing work mainly on ur chest? does it work on ur triceps as well? cuz i am looking to bench and work hard trying to build some nice chests and triceps. i can't forget pecs also.
- Honestly the nech press does work out the chest primarily, followed by the anterior(front) head of your shoulder, and then the triceps. Correct form for stimulating the chest is to lie on the bench and sort of concentrate on pinchign your shoulder blades together while not arching your back. Try this with light dumbbells as they allow for a greater range of motion. Now go slow and when you push up, concentrate on feeling your chest muscles tighen. If you really want to get a massive chest and some good tris, try inclines more so than a flat bench, and also do dips. Lean as far forward as you can and dont lockout. this will keep constant tension on the chest region
- Q:Ok so there are some crimes which the state pursues and others where if there is no complainant then they don't do anything. Like I understand that in domestic violence cases the victim has to press charges, so what about something like harrassment? Does the state pursue the charges without a victim or is this one of those scenarios where the state is actually pressing charges instead of a victim? I guess I just don't see how if somebody in this scenario who refuses to press charges, there'd be a victimless crime, and therefore no crime at all, right?
- Do you want to press charges is really the equivalent of asking, are you willing to be a cooperative witness? Obviously, to prove some types of crimes, the victim's cooperation is absolutely necessary. For instance, an element of a theft charge is that the property was taken from victim without victim's consent. So, the victim will need to cooperate and testify He did not have my permission in order to successfully prosecute. Some types of crimes really do not need victim testimony, such as murder -- it's reasonable for a jury to assume that the victim did not consent to being killed.
- Q:I've been wanting a bench press for a while now and 2 days ago my dad bought me one. When my mom saw it, she was being a ***** about it and told my dad to return it. I got really pissed after that because he promised me he'll get me one. I guess it's because it's big. So now I'm stuck with the barbell and 2 25 pound weights. (I'll buy more weights soon) So really can I still do bench press without the bench or do I really need a bench to do it with? What difference does it make if I bench press with or without the bench?
- Something like a bow flex would be more ideal for you. I believe they make models that are fairly compact. Doing bench presses without the bench is a bad idea for the same reason you aren't suppose to lift your max unless someone is helping you. There is nowhere to put the weights when you are done with a set. If you don't have a bench don't use the long bar when laying down. Use only single hand weights.
- Q:Im 14 145 lbs and 5' 8. I have abs and stuff but i want my arms bigger, and i generally like routine and to workout. How should i start to bench press? I have everything at my local gym, and i need a routine, and need to know how much weight. Im open to any advice.
- why bench press, severely, why bench press? if you're new and wish to achieve mass, the satisfactory endeavor is the squat. however again to bench press, i suppose it's over rated. i appreciate the fame of the bench press, however it's relatively imperative? alternatively of bench press, check out pushups. if that is too handy, check out pushups along with your toes improved on a chair. if that is too handy, check out improved pushups with a backpack in your again. you guessed it, your next step is to position weights or heavy books for your backpack. I simply understand that the steadily tougher pushups will paintings you as good if no longer higher than the bench press. however in your query, at 134lbs, you would placed on 65lbs and do as many reps as you'll. if you'll do greater than 10 reps, upload 10lbs till you get to wherein you'll best do approximately 10 reps. That's your begin factor. essentially, decide on a weight approximately part your body weight and trial/errors to uncover your begin factor. well good fortune
- Q:i want the information about the fat reducing press.
- This is a really obscure question, and I'm not at all certain that I've found the correct answer to it. The meaning of the patriotic fat reducing press of 1790 was ... I think ... the process during the French Revolution in which the monarchy was overthrown and the King (plus his family and chief advisers) was imprisoned. The King was referred to as a fat hog, because he grew fat off the labors of his subjects. His imprisonment was the patriotic fat reducing press, because it prevented him from growing 'fat' in that way any longer. My explanation for this answer lies in the following excerpt from an article by Katharine Macdonogh in History Today magazine, Vol. 46, August 1996. The widespread use of animal metaphor during the French Revolution provides insight into the mentality of a predominantly rural population living in a pre-industrial age. Hebert and his sort released metaphorically the wild beasts from the famous Versailles menagerie and caged the monarchs in their place. Marie Antoinette is ever the 'archtigress', or the 'Austrian she-wolf', and her children are 'the little wolves'; Louis XVI is most frequently likened to a pig -- Clery recorded seeing graffiti on the wall of the Temple promising 'we shall find a way of reducing the great hog's fat'.
- Q:I am a freelance writer and I want to be professional when conducting interviews. I do have business cards that I had done stating that I am a freelance writer, yet is that enough? Should I produce my own press pass for credential purposes? If so, how and where can I get one?
- In the old days, you could buy a press pass from various companies advertising in the back of the writer's magazines. Now, of course, you can buy a $15 laminator at OfficeMax and call yourself whatever you like. But that only gets you so far. Most press passes have authorization information on them, a contact someone can call to verify that you're really on an assignment. Many events also require you to pre-register to get their press credentials. I suggest you also consider having some contact cards printed up (VistaPrint does some nice work) ... these can be presented to those you meet, greet and interview to convey the image you desire. When I meet someone I hand them one and identify myself as writing an article for the local newspaper rather than being from the local newspaper. Good Luck.
- Q:I would like to press a purple carnation I got 3-4 days ago. I would prefer to press it onto just a piece of normal printer paper. What would be the best way to press my carnation (w/out getting any books dirty!)? I've never pressed a flower before, so I need all the details - should I cut off them stem, should I press the flower on its side or on its center, etc. Thank you (and yes, I will be marking someone as having the best answer - 10 points baby!) And yeah, I know this is a weird question :P
- I have pressed flowers in the past with good results. Copy paper will do. You can either trim some of the stem or leave as is (as long as it's manageable). Place it on its side between two sheets of copy paper and place something heavy on top. I would suggest to use something like a manila folder on top the copy paper---then put a book on top or something else that's heavy. Leave it undisturbed for awhile. I am not sure at least a month---maybe more. I still have pressed flowers that I have had for 10+ years. Good luck!
- Q:i think press wood is a rip off for the people that by's press wood furniture anyone agreas with me.
- Press wood as you call it might better known as particle board. It was invneted in the 50's due to a shortage of timber. in reality is well suited for aplications such as cabinets and vanities as well as furniture that is not moved much like a china hutch. It is actually a viable product and proably appears more often that you realize. not to mention it is cheap and easily made from the scraps of timber that would other wise be thrown away.
- Q:My cat scratched my hand and as I was sitting there pressing on it, I got to thinking on how pressing on the cut for a little bit stops it from bleeding?
- by pressing on a cut, you effectively slow down the speed that blood is seeping out of your wounds. this allows coagulation of the blood to take place where... i guess an easy way to think if is when the red blood cells link together (like holding hands), hence stopping the blood flow. it's kinda like making jelly, it's liquid to begin with, but it you leave it alone (stop stirring etc), it will slowly become solid
- Q:a new a good lip gloss and pressed powder that looks great and flawless on my dry skin .
