- Q: that keeps shedding. it's a wool rug and I love it, but I just bought it and it shed shed sheds all over the place. What to do to stop the shedding.....or will it just continue forever?
- Hi, This is a natural process of wool rugs shedding loose fibers from the weaving process. It will not hurt your rug just may be a little annoying but the great qualities of wool will make up for that. You may have to vacuum more often 2 or 3 times a week for a year or less until the shedding stops. If the rug is a longer pile like a flokati rug you can rake it with a garden rake (preferable wood or plastic) or uses a wide tooth brush or pet brush to brush it. Hope this helps and hang in there with the shedding!
- Q: I recently moved a couch and chair which was in the same position for 3 years on carpet. Any suggestions how to raise up the indent that is in the carpet. Thank you.
- Try to dampen the area and then brush up with a hair brush. Having had your furniture in place for such a long time it's likely there will always be an indentation there. I've seen some, good quality carpets, recover if the pile is thick enough. Hope this helps in some way.

- Move tray, try a dry carpet cleaning powder. Foam cleaners work well if used correctly. Deodorize and vacuum regularly. I put old newspaper under cat tray in case the cat as an accident.

- Q: I have carpet with dog urine stains and the like. When I use cleaners my carpet is either stained darker or not affected. The even bigger problem is that my carpet is white. If you know how to remove stains from white carpet or have any tips on how to eliminate the odor, they'd be greatly appreciated.
- Buy some white Windex (not the blue Windex) and a big ol' box of Arm Hammer Baking soda. Dump the baking soda on the stain (if it is still wet), put a folded towel over it, and jump up and down on it to squish the urine out of the carpet and carpet pad. This also pretty much takes care of the smell, so critters aren't tempted to pee in the same spot again. Let the baking soda dry for a couple of days and then vacuum it up. Then, spray it good with the white Windex and scrub the area hard with a dry towel. When the stain is scrubbed off, leave the carpet nap fluffed up so it will dry looking good. The only problem with this method is you can end up with cleaner spots on your carpet! You could use regular Windex on any color carpet but white. The blue coloring stains white carpet.
