Q:He only poops when the door is open, other than that he uses his littler box. ( little box is cleaned 2 x a day.) He does this even when we wash and bleach the rug. WHY!: The rug backing has a chemical quite often that smells like pee to a cat. It's too subtle for humans to smell but it's very strong to a cat's nose, and some decide that it's ok to poop there because it already smells like the litter box. Even washing the rug won't affect the manufacturing smell that's on it.

Q:How do you get black nail polish out of beige carpet?: It can be done...but it will require effort with some of the methods mentioned. One product removed it easily enough: brake fluid cleaner....but like anything, you want to test an inconspicuous spot before using anything so as to not ruin your carpet.

Q:i really don't understand the rug sizing.Could somebody please explain:a: roughly what size rug fits what size ponyb: what size would fit my Welsh Sec C stallion?: all you have to do is take a flexible measuring tape, put the start of it in the middle of his chest, go around the widest part of his body, aroiund the point of his butt, and to the center of his tail. whatever the measurement is, that's the size you need. if the rug doesn't come in the size, go up the next bigger size they have. i'd guess roughly a 66 inch rug for the welsh.

How many you need depends on many things, such as the size of the rug, and how thin you cut the strips. You will need MUCH more than you think... I know! Collect as many as you can from friends and neighbours and search the second-hand shops for them as well.

Q:what to do when there is oil on the carpet?: If the back of the carpet is sisal, then it can be washed with detergent.

Q:We have been working out on the carpet in our basement for 6-7 months in the same spot. Now the carpet is rock hard from us working out on it. Is the carpet / padding ruined? Is there something we can do so the carpet doesn't' t get ruined?: You more than likely have crushed the fibers on the carpet. Depending on the type of carpet you may or may not get them to fluff or come back up. The padding also depends on the quality.A decent pad will come back but I m willing to bet it won t and you ve crush that permanently. Only thing to prevent this in the future id to stop working out on the carpet and onto a hard surface. Puttin a hard mat over the carpet will still crush the fibers. I used to sell carpet. You want to make sure you have a good installer as well. Sometimes if it's not stretched enough it will relax and develope ripples........if this happens, don't be afraid to call the installer back to restretch it. Also vacuum it every other day or so with a good vacuum. The info I gave you will help your new carpet last you a lot longer.

Q:cat pissed on my NEW rug as you can tell i'm not happy. I hate to throw it away. That's 400.00 i hate to throw away. I used vinger and soap. pLus i shampooed it. WHat can i do: I just Googled Ashley area rug and noticed that they are made from nylon, one of the points being easy to clean. Can you ask the manufacturer or place you bought it? I'd try just straight white vinegar sponged on and then blotted. I'd then elevate or hang the rug so both sides can air until completely dry. Get a squirt bottle and use it keep the cat off the rug. Q:I used RESOLVE High Traffic Carpet Cleaning Kit a few months ago. I didn't think it even worked, but to my dismay, I believe it has made my carpet dirtier. I probably should have tried getting some of the soap up, but I had no idea that leaving soap (even if the directions tell you that you only need to vacuum) that it could lead to the stains sticking more.So now, the areas that I used the product on have turn one shade away from black (we have white carpet).I just used a Bissell carpet steamer and the whole area looks the same!WHAT DO I DO?!I fear a professional won't be able to get it out either...: Leaving soap on the carpet will attract ever bit of dirt that comes in contact with the carpet. I would call in a professional at this point.
