- Q: Grr Overstock wont ship here so i had a 8x10 ft rug shipped to my Moms house...from there I was going to pay to have it shipped here to Guam. But no Fedex wouldnt ship it and UPS either the dementions are either too small or too big. =( then i got hopeful bc a neighbor said OKorder ships here. You can lay wet towel on the depression of the carpet, steam from the top with electric iron, then dry it with a hair dryer. 3. handling of emergency situations: If there are spilled drinks or stained stains on the carpet, the most effective remedial method is immediately handling. With a dry cloth or paper to absorb water (do not scrub), with diluted and mild detergent (neutral or cold dish detergent washing ) to daub a little on parts, again with dry cloth to wipe clean. Do not use detergent with chlorine and bleaching water. 4. handling of unknown conditions: You can wipe dirt with alcohol firstly, when it is dry, brush off the dirt with a soft brush. Hot water with lemon pieces is also effective. 5.the use of skid resistent pad : A thin or small carpet, unless laid by the furniture, it is often easy to slide.

- i bought a fairly inexpensive steam cleaner and we love it. as long as you wash it out and treat it properly weve had nothing but luck with it. its from walmart. its about $200. but if you use it more than acuople times you get your money's worth with how much they are to rent a year ya know!? its called the bissel pro heat. we have the one that is blue. i have heard acuople bad reviews when i was researching to buy one, but like i said.... if you treat it right... it should be as wonderful for you as it is us. we have pets and a baby who throws food. we get gallons of black water out when we use it. good luck!

- You can rent a shampooer at any store or buy one at wally world. When you do shampoo, remember to rinse afterwards. The instructions may say let dry then vacuum but don't believe it. It always leaves it sticky and will stain more. Rinse a couple of times to make sure.

- Probably the fibers are now chemically burned. No remedy. If the closets are carpeted, cut a patch from the back corner and exchange with the damaged section. Use double sided carpet tape to hold down the patch. In the future have some enzyme carpet cleaner for vomit and use that after cleaning up the chunks. Actually club soda works wonders.......
- Q: I have been living in a rental home for 2yrs and notice that the carpet is old. Due to the fact that i have had it clean 1 time steam clean and 2 times rental machine and stains will not come up. Asked rental company once and they said the owner does not have enough money to replace carpet. The carpet is over 10yrs old and you can tell because the edges are coming up and the man who clean the carpet one time said they don't make that kind of carpet any more. How can i get the owner to replace the carpet.
- I think it's time for you to move. If you've been renting this home for 2 years and the owner hasn't replaced the carpet in 10 years it's obvious that the owner isn't escrowing money for maintenance and repairs. What's going to happen if one of the mechanical systems (plumbing, heating, etc.) fails? Save up your money until you have the enough for the first month's rent and deposit for a new place, then get out as soon as your lease allows. I would definitely keep a record of what the carpet cleaner said and take pictures because chances are this kind of landlord will try to keep your deposit.
