- Q: Hello, Thanks for taking the time to read this.Ok, I have been living on aparments since long time ago, most of them are all carpet (no choice), so now I'm moving to a beautiful townhome with 2 levels, first level where the living/dinning/kitchen are is all hardwood floors, I was just looking for slidders or socks for the furniture so they don't scratch the wood, my fiance said that the dinning room and the couches will look funny without a big area rug underneath. Do you think that Area rugs are mandatory on hardwood floors? Please share your opinions. Thanks again.
- Rugs do add a touch of warmth to a room, but they are expensive and attract dirt. I would rather have no rugs than cheap ones that roll up on the sides. I have lived both ways but I do prefer the look of a nice rug underneath big furniture.

- I don't quite understand--they glued carpet TO carpet? That's the laziest thing I've ever heard. Carpet adhesive can't be removed from carpeting, you have to tear it all out and replace it. Keep going and see if you hit hardwood floors, much better looking.
- Q: i am looking into the future and looking at what i need to buy for a horse *so i can save up enough*right now i'm looking at rugs and saddles.. i have been looking on the horseland website (sells all horse stuff for outside aussies)and i have noticed that some saddles range from $300 - $800 *could never afford one over $1000* ... there doesnt seem to be much difference between them both...
- I bought a saddle from a girl in the local Pony Club for $300. I have had it for three years and will probably have it for many more, it is in good condition. Buy a almost new used saddle and clean and condition it every so often. It will keep the leather soft and supple. And it will keep the saddle in better condition so it will last longer. For rugs, I would get a thick rug in the winter (well, actually, it depends how cold it gets there) and in the summer, you don't even need a rug. You could get a protective shett. It is like a rug that protects them from pests like flies and mosquitos. In the winter, I would just sponge it down and wait for him/her to cool down then put a cooler (a special blanket for a horse that has just worked hard). Later you can put a thicker blanket on, like when he is totally back to normal. In the summer I would do the same thing (put the cooler on) then put on the protective sheet or just nothing. My horse doesn't use a rug int the winter. I hope this helped you.

- There are pretty much three things it could be.... 1 - Powder - There are several cleaning products that are on the market today that people sprinkle on the rug so that it smells good - every time you vacuum more will come out till it is all gone. 2 - Dust - If it is an old rug then there is a good chance that it is simply dust. 3 - Fibers - If the rug is not in good condition then sometimes the fibers break apart and fall out when you vacuum but this is most common with old silk rugs. If you think it is one of the top two then simply turn over the rug and slowly vacuum the from the back (make sure to use a vacuum with bristles). The vibrations will cause whatever is in the rug to fall out. After you are done - turn the rug over and vaccume the front side, collect the dust from the floor and repeat the process till almost all the white powder is gone. Hope I was helpful :)

- It's not very comfortable and warm to step up, but you don't need to worry about worms or something like that. it is easier to clean up with a vacuum cleaner. thin carpet can't be used long, it may be broken a few months later, and others are almost the same.

- depends on the stain. I like carpet cleaner personally. If your whole carpet is dirty, those rug doctors you can rent at the grocery store are actually amazing. I rented one and couldn't believe how well it cleaned. I also rented the upholstery attachment and cleaned my white couch and the interior of my truck. It was totally worth the $25 for 24 hours. I didn't bother buying all the soaps and stuff they sell with it, just some steam cleaner detergent and a little fabric softener in the other tank instead of the suds reducer they push on you. Good luck. Of, if it's an animal stain you can buy enzymatic cleaner that will actually take care of the stain and the smell.....
