Q:my sump pump keeps filling with sewer water. i cant figure out why or where it could be coming from. and the smell is awful.
A sump pump is designed for use in the basements of homes whose water tables make them prone to flooding. Many basements are actually below the water table. This means that should the integrity of the walls or floor of the basement be breached, the basement could flood. This would result in thousands of dollars of water damage to anything in the basement, as well as the loss of anything irreplaceable that's stored there. Even should no breach occur, a great deal of moisture and condensation forms over of time within such spaces. Typically the water drains into a hole in the basement floor called a sump pit. When the water level in the hole rises to a certain level, the sump pump engages and removes the water. A pedestal sump pump, for example, has a long rod that extends down into the sump pit. At the top of the rod sits an electrical motor. Beside the rod is an inflated plastic bubble such as the kind one finds in flush toilets, attached to a pressure switch. When the water level rises beyond the bubble, the bubble is buoyed upward and activates the pressure switch. The switch turns on the electric motor, which sucks the water out of the sump pit and passes it through a connecting PVC pipe. This pipe may lead outward into the soil away from the house's foundation, or it may be connected to the wastewater system that connects to the house's drains and toilets. In either case, the water is pumped out automatically.
Q:It DID start after the Water Pump was put on. And i have not yet been able to detect a vacuum leak. The quot;whistling noiseseems consistent with RPMs, and the quot;dieseling(run-on) stopped in all but a rapid succession of 5 quick ~1-minute start/stops when the engine was fully warmed.. then it minorly ran-on.Could i be driving myself nuts over a Water Pump sound, and if it IS a Water Pump bearing, do i need a new Water Pump?1984 Chevy Camaro. 2.8 V6 carb'd 165,000 miles Auto.
one tell tale sign of a bad water pump bearing can be a sound like a jet engine, but there are other possibilities too, I take a 4 foot length of garden hose put one end on top of what ever bearing you want to check and stick the other end too your ear.a slight hum is a good bearing, noisy bearings are easy to diagnose this way. Just be careful, no loose clothing or long hair near spinning fan and belts, engine has to be running to hear bearing noises. As to the dieseling noises, this is your engine running backwards. this is extremely hard on an engine. Leave the car in gear then turn it off. if its a stick, put it in a high gear let the clutch out until motor stalls. However dieseling is usually related to timing and poor quality fuel. Change to chevron super unleaded, it has techron which will help clean out a dirty fuel system, your vehicle may have a out of time problem, and or tune up issues can cause this. get this fixed, the fuel milege will be a bit better, and your engine will not self destruct. If the noise is in the water pump then replace it. Sometimes a jet engine sound can also be present in the torque converter in a transmission (automatic only)
Q:My 2000 Pontiac Sunfire has been overheating and I recently changed the thermostat thinking that was the problem. The new thermostat didn't help and the engine is still over heating. I am starting to think it might be the water pump. How can I tell for sure? When I changed the thermostat and refilled the coolant tank I left the cap off and started the car to work out the air. I was told I should see bubbles in the tank but nothing happened, I thought this might be a sign of a bad water pump. I think I will be able to change the water pump on my own I just want to know for sure if that is the problem.
It could ALSO be crud build up in the radiator interior or road junk in the radiator fins. A bad water pump USUALLY leaks and/or squeals
Q:Fire pump room is required to set up water pump control room?
What is the concept of fire pump control room? If there is a control room host automatic alarm automatic fire alarm system of words (through the pump distribution box can also control) can control the fire pump, if there is no distribution box automatic alarm system you can through the pump room control
Q:does water pump sealers work?
If your talking about the water pump for a car it doesn't have any pumps those would be the radiator pumps that are connected to the water pump and transmission which keeps the radiator and transmission at a temperature that keeps the vehicle from over heating. If you have a overheating car and a mechanic told you your water pump has a leak then sorry you would have to replace the water pump but just don't go to a popular mechanic for that because it can get really expensive do your research and find you someone with a garage it cheaper because the part itself is not that expensive it putting it in that cost lol. Hope this helps.
Q:What is the safety head of a pump? Why should a safety head be added?
In fact, to prevent pipeline errors, generally take 0.5 meters margin, just in case the pipeline changes, resistance, and do not smoke Sheung Shui
Q:OK i was driving and i noticed the gas pedal wouldn't really work and people were telling me to move so right away i moved to the side of the road and got my car towed home. a couple details are that there was smoke coming out of the hood, don't know what part of the engine though.there was not much water in the water pump. my dad thinks that the problem was it was leaking the water.the car turns on ac works it just shakes when it turn on the motor no condition to drive it obviously but it does take a little time to start the engine. i want to know if anyone knows what may be the problem and about how much it may cost.ohh btw this car model is a 1999 Chrysler Sebring Convertible 2 door.thank you!
1] ..i noticed the gas pedal wouldn't really work.. - This sounds to me you gave it gas, but the car was seizing up by excessive heat, because of no cooling!!. You might have fuck2ed up the engine, or the heads. DO NOT CRANK THE ENGINE, DO NOT MOVE it until you are sure there IS COOLANT, there is good oil and nothing is or looks bad. 2] ..there was not much water in the water pump. - It looks to me you would not notice the difference between a Water Pump and a piano, if you saw one. You cannot SEE the water inside the Water Pump. You probably meant RADIATOR. Fill it up with COOLANT, not just water. Coolant elevates the Temp and allows for a better engine performance. 3] Inspect for broken HOSES. There are two one at the bottom of the radiator, and one at the top of it. Inspect that there is coolant in the RESSERVOIRE bottle too. 4] When you are sure there is COOLANT, OIL and there are no broken HOSES,crank the engine and find out if THERE IS A LEAK. You will probably find one. 5] Check that the engine's BELTS are all intact and working. You could have a broken belt and - in that case - there would not be alternator, water pump, etc... If you don't find any, it means you drove WITHOUT COOLANT, and it that regard, you are irresponsible and should not be driving a car, but riding a donkey. Seriously. If you damaged the engine, it could cost you about $2000.00 to replace the heads, that if it is still possible to repair them and keep the car running. Otherwise, bye bye... Luck.
Q:A pump, the flow rate of 30T/H per hour, lift 30 meters, should be allocated more power motor?
Mgh=ptIn 1 hours30*1000*10*30=p*3600P=2500 (W)Therefore, the ideal state should be more than 2500W motorWith all kinds of losses, it is recommended to configure more than 3000W motors
Q:I drive a 1995 Acura integra ls model I'm mechanically inclined just not enough to do a headgasket (more patience wise) my car loses coolant once in every 3 weeks it starts to over heat. I don't have white smoke coming out of the exhaust or milky oil. Everything else runs smooth on my car. I've head it pressure tested and every thing else checks out so I'm kind of lost. All hoses are fine and not leaking and there is no coolant leaks showing up on the ground. Any ideas?
Have you checked for coolant inside the car ? it could be the heater core or you may have a small leak at a hose that burns off before you can find it.
Q:i want to change the water pump on my on a 70 hp (70C) nissan outboard motor and i never pulled a lower unit, not sure what to expect thanks for any help
