Q: What is the reason for the arch rise after the carpet is cleaned?: Because carpet is easy to deform, and the carpet will become hard after exposed to hardlight. Dry foam carpet cleaning machine will make you no trouble any more. Dry cleaning to the carpet is recommended, and not dry it.

Q: Is there any type throw rug that will not slide on a nylon rug?: Very few rugs are made with a non-skid backing. But a pad to put under the rug is very common, and should solve your problem. Any place you buy a new rug should also be able to sell you a pad to go under it. Just make sure it's a rubbery pad and not just the foam cushion that goes under wall-to-wall carpet.

Q: I got a little nail polish remover on my shag rug and the bottle says harmful to synthetics-so is shag synthetic?just wondering: shag rugs are made from a variety of materials, ranging from synthetic fibers like nylon to cotton, wool, linen, angora, leather and other natural fibers. since you only got a little nail polish remover of your rug it should not be a problem.

Q: I just bought a new roll of Reptile Carpet. I've never used Reptile Carpet before, but I decided that you have to experiment with substrates to see what your reptiles like best. Anyway, I want to know how to clean the carpet. The roll I bought came in a kit with other things made by Zilla (reptile supply brand. and it didn't come with any instructions on cleaning the carpet. I know you can clean it, because I've read online comments on Zilla being a very good brand of carpet because of it's eco-friendly (made out of recycled bottles re-usable by washing). Could tell me how they clean their Zilla Reptile Carpet, or any other brand that is basically that same as Zilla's carpet? I would like to know how you clean it, what detergents/soaps (if any) to use, and how to dry (is it machine dryable, or air dryable?): Yes, you can wash it I'm not sure what detergent you can use however. What I do is I see if there is any feces (i trained my dragons to poop on the newspaper), and if there is, I pick it off and throw it away. Next I scrub it really good with a wet sponge, scrub every side of it. Then I re-check it, go over it again, but if it is completely soiled with waste I have a spare carpet (most people like myself have two). A scrub brush may be needed to clean the poop and such. If you see any loops, make sure to cut them off, this can result badly. If you have the carpet with loops I'd suggest getting rid of it, but Zilla is a trusted brand if I'm correct. I hand wash it with soap and water. Just a suggestion, I think it's easier because I don't really trust the washer machine -_- as the other person said, let it air dry. My beardies rest on my shoulder on the couch and watch TV with me as their carpet dries :D

Q: we bought several new throw-rugs to protect carpets at door-ways. They were folded in half on a pile in the store. It has been impossible to remove that crease, which as the traffic goes on it bunches up in the middle even worse. Any ideas on how to get out these creases where the fold was? Have washed, weighted down, turned over, hung up.....can't seem to prevail! Need advise on how to get rid of these creases. Will never buy a folded rug again.: I have no idea if this will work or if it was part of what you have already done. But what if you washed it or at least got it very wet, then hung it on a clothes line (maybe you can rig something up in the shower) with weights on it? Your line would need to be pretty taut but it might be worth a try. I never thought about creases in rugs but I have several in the garage that are now bent so it's something I will likely need to figure out at some point ... or toss the rugs when I move.
