Q: Last night i cleaned my carpet using a carpet cleaner, and it all seemed to go very well leaving my carpet clean and fluffy, but the following morning when i woke up my carpet was really flat. what did i do wrong? how can i de-flatten the carpet?? could it have been that i didnt properly rinse all the soap from the carpet??: Just for giggles...I would fill the soap reservoir with clean water and go over the carpet again, basically.....giving it a thorough rinse. I can compare getting the tattoo to scratching a bad sunburn, or worse. It depends on the needle size, the location and the artist. Take some advil before you go. It might help a little. The needles are way different than the ones your doctor uses for injections. I hate getting shots but I can sit as long as 6 hours getting a tattoo. Try to relax. That will also help alot. And be sure to follow the artist's insructions for the healing process. The pain is temporary. Your beautiful artwork will last a lifetime.

Q: I just purchased an 8x11 handmade wool rug online. I am not sure if I need a rug pad under it to keep it from slipping or whatever. Is it really worth it?: You will either need a rug pad or carpet tape to protect your new purchase from slipping and wrinkling. As to which you prefer, it depends on how plush the rug you purchased is. I have a very dense wool rug in my kitchen that is on ceramic tile and used two sided carpet tape to anchor it down. This enables me to have it vacuummed without fighting the edges with the suction and keeps it from wrinkling while doing so. It is thick enough on its own that a rug pad is unnecessary. That being said, I also have another rug under which I have a rug pad mainly to protect the flooring underneath it. It has a rough jute backing that with constant traffic will scratch the floor under it, hence the rug pad.

I recommend using Oxi-Clean and a boiling water solution in the carpet cleaner and pretreat the really dirty areas with something equal to a 409 spray cleaner/degreaser first. The problem with all those other cleaners is that there still in the dirty carpet with the dirt. The best way to clean carpet is to wash it, rinse it, then let it dry, just like you do with anything else including but not limited to yourself, your clothes, and your dishes.prespray it with a degreaser, then steam clean it with the Oxi-Clean solution, because the dirt and the cleaner is extracted when your done. It may take two times now that there is so much crud and cleaner in the carpet. Also the hotter the water the better the cleaner will work, so I would recommend boiling the water before making your solution. GOOD LUCK!! IT SHOULD TURN OUT GREAT!! Q: theres a rug on ikea im interested in its 195 by 150 however the space i need to fill is 131 by 82 can i cut the rug and fit it into the area will it fray ? from the HEMNES range: You mark and cut the rug from the backside. Use a razor-knifem or drywall knife which is razor sharp. It won't fray if the rug is fitted tight against the wall. You can just cut it and leave it or you can put a glue on it like carpenters white glue and let it dry out. It dries clear. Make sure all your cuts are complete, including the pink carpet material.
