- Q: how can i calculate the current carrying capacity of a power cable when the area is given?can you give me a table on this?
- Table 310.16 of the NEC (2008)
- Q: I am trying to find a 4 Pin Fan Power Splitter Cable or my computer since I only have 1 4 Pin Fan Power jack and I want to use 2 4 pin fans. I am having a really hard time trying to find one in hamilton
- Before hooking that up, check the specs on your motherboard to see if that fan header will support loads from both fans. You may need to get a Molex to 4-pin converter and power directly off your power supply.
- Q: Why is the terminal metal housing of the power cable to be grounded?
- How to say that interference is certainly some, if you line less words on one or two in the bridge next to do a tube it! The pipe will be a little better. Upstairs that I do not think that although in practice the construction of this practice a lot, because you do not feel the interference, but the reality does interfere with, or science should not be strong and weak must be separated.
- Q: Do you need to use both the 6 pin PCI-E power cable and the 8 pin PCI-E power cable on a video card? Why are they used? To give power to the video card if needed? Seems like the motherboard gives the card power as well?
- if the graphics card has an 6-pin power connector and an 8-pin connector then u need to use the 6-pin and the 8-pin power cable from your power supply.most power supplies (especially those that supply 500 watts of power to your cpu and all the peripherals) in the market right now have at least one connector for each type (6-pin and 8-pin).usually the most high-end power supplies now (like the Ultra X4 series) have more than 1 for each type.right now the most high-end power supplies from my perspective is the 1600W power supply from the Ultra X4 series.it has 3 6-pin power connectors and 3 for the 8-pin power connector. and ya the 6- and 8-pin power connector is the bridge for the power supply to transport power to the component. nope.the motherboard is a selfish guy.it doesnt give power to the graphics card unless the graphics card doesn't take a lot of wattage to work then the motherboard will donate power to the graphics card.
- Q: Copper and Aluminum are being considered for the cables in a high-voltage transmission line where each must carry a current of 50A. The resistance of each cable is to be .15ohms per kilometer.A. If the line carries power from Niagra Falls to New York (500Km), mow much power is lost along the way in the cable? Compute for each choice of cable materialB. the necessary cable diameterC. mass per meter of cable Please correct if you see anything that may be offSolving for part a:Power = I deltaV, since deltaV was not given IR=deltaVso Power = (I^2)R = 50^2 x 75 = 187.5 kW lt;-- answerR= 75 since R= .15 ohms/ km x 500kmB) resistivity of copper = 1.7 x 10^-8 ohm m resistivity of al = 2.82 x 10^-8 ohm m R = (resistivity x length)/Areawhat do i use for R? is it the 0.15 ohm/km or 75 ohm?using the 75 ohm as R, I get that the radius of the copper wire is 0.0000361 m and the diameter is then 0.0000722.Am i on the right track?
- a) Power = (Current) (Voltage) = (Current)^2 / (Resistance) You got it good job b) I would rearrange your equation a bit to minimize computation. R = (resistivity x length) / Area Therefore (R / l) = (rho) / A They give you (R/I) = 0.15 ohms/km and they give you rho. Just solve for A. Your way of doing the calculation in bits (finding R and then finding A) is good, too, though. I didn't actually check your numbers. The only pitfall would be forgetting to convert km to m.
- Q: I know there is problem in the CPU, please suggest what is the problem and how much it is going to cost me?
- Power cable into CPU? I guess you must possibly still have some of those dual power connector Power Supply? Those one where you can connect both the Power to the monitor and the input power to the CPU? If this is the case, your Power supply is possibly dying slowly. You need to change the poer supply. However, if that is not the kind of power supply that you have, I guess what you are pssibly talking about is that your monitor data communication cable which you connect to the CPU so that the data can be transmitted through to your monitor? If this is the case, then your monitor is not having any problem, it is just responding to the fact that it is properrly connected. Put on your system and see if your monitor do come on... If it comes on then everything is fine.... Now finally, if all these is not the case, then it mean you have not put your question properly. Rephrase your question so that you can have an answer... except ofcourse you are just trying to fool around...
- Q: Is the power cable considered a fixed asset?
- According to the total number of meters, such as where to where a total of how many kilometers (meters). Power system fixed assets asset management software - TU Teng fixed asset management software.
- Q: so I bought a new power supply to go with my new case and motherboard, and when I recived the new power supply it didn't have a power cable That Plugs into the wall, can I use the one from my old power supply or will I have to get a new one? Cause I tried using it and my pc didn't turn on, or is my power supply that I got possibly dead?
- every power supply I've gotten for years uses completely standard, detachable power cords. I've never yet seen one that will not use the same cords as all the others. Use the one from the old supply
- Q: What kind of material does the power cable accessory contain?
- First of all, it should be noted that the short circuit is caused by the current is too large, short circuit occurs when the short-circuit current will be very large, can not be used to describe how many times, and electrical design to consider the wire cross-sectional area will not be great, Heat, so the conductor will be hot
- Q: Like from a computer monitor?or a pc power cable?would a generic power cable work for it or would it like, blow the brick up lol?
- I asked an electrical engineer friend this same question, and I'm using my original launch 3 prong cable with a new official 203w xbox power brick with 2 prong input and he said it's totally fine. I've been using it for about a week.
