Q: Three people, each with a mass of 73.1 kg, are in a car with a mass of 1150 kg. An earthquake strikes. The driver manages to pull of the road and stop, as the vertical oscillations of the ground surface make the car bounce up and down on its suspension springs. When the frequency of the shaking is 1.80 Hz, the car exhibits a maximum amplitude of vibration. The earthquake ends and the three people leave the car as fast as they can. By what distance does the car‘s undamaged suspension lift the car‘s body as the people get out?_______ cm

Q: Here is my idea for dealing with runaway Toyotas:1. Get a tow truck in front of the car if it is front wheel drive or behind the car if it is rear wheel drive.2. Match the car‘s speed.3. Hock up to the car.4. Lift the car‘s drive wheels.5. Stop the tow truck. The car‘s wheels will continue to spin, up in the air, but the car will stop.
How do you propose the tow truck is going to be there at the time it is needed? This is a ridiculous question. What the driver needs to do before he burns the brakes up is to shift the car in neutral and then apply the brakes and additionally the emergency brake, if needed, to stop the vehicle!
Q: yes i am looking for a good used car lift in the houston texas area
not easly moved buy one where you are
Q: what would you do if you park in front of a driveway and you come back to take your car its on a fork lift ?
Clues are everywhere. Clues are free. First clue--a driveway. It is NOT a parking spot. It is very rude parking in front of one. It creates inconveniences for the owner of the driveway. Second clue--Your car on a forklift. Since a driveway is NOT a parking spot and because you parked in one and created an inconvenience for the owner of the driveway, you are now inconvenienced by having your car on a forklift. What can you make of these clues? Anything come to mind?
Q: When I jack my car up to put my lift kit on it, is alright to hold my 1992 Jeep up with CINDER BLOCKS 2 in the front and 2 in the back while I work on it?? I just don‘t want to waste the money for jack stands when I most likely will not use them again.
Like the others say, cinder blocks are somewhat unreliable to support a vehicle if you are going to be working under it. You really should use something better. You may be able to rent them for cheap or buy them then resell them afterwards. If you insist on using them, span a block of wood across the cinder block so the vehicle is not resting directly on a pressure point. This way the load is distributed further. You can even consider using 2 sets of these just to be safe.
Q: Ive heard alot of different ideas but whats yours.RX7.Silvia.Viper.Other? Which would you get?
Its all personal preference, are you talking about a stock car or just best platform. Silvia's are very popular in the drifting scene, but cars like the rx7, viper, s2000 can all be made to drift just as good, it just takes the right driver and parts.
Q: My car was lifted in West Oakland today. A witness reported seeing one man get out of a car that was idling next to it and pop out my window. He then got in, hot wired it and drove away with the guy driving the car that was idling him following. The tail car had a sticker of a politician. Who was the politician on this bumper sticker?
Barack Hussein 0bama and I bet the bumper sticker was an 0bama/Biden
Q: Three people, each with a mass of 71.1 kg, are in a car with a mass of 1130 kg. An earthquake strikes. The driver manages to pull of the road and stop, as the vertical oscillations of the ground surface make the car bounce up and down on its suspension springs. When the frequency of the shaking is 1.60 Hz, the car exhibits a maximum amplitude of vibration. The earthquake ends and the three people leave the car as fast as they can. By what distance does the car‘s undamaged suspension lift the car‘s body as the people get out?(give answer in cm)Im pretty sure you have to use these equations: *Let mass of all 3 peoplem *Let mass of carM(2*Pi*f)^2 k/(M+m)k*delta(x) (M+m)*gThe aim is to get delta(x) which is the amplitude in relation to the equilibrium position.I got 9.70cm to 3 s.f. (0.09696753093 m) and it said it was wrong :(
find the spring constant of the car's suspension. m total 1343.1 kg and use f 1/(2pi)√(k/m) (1.6*2pi)^2*1343.1 k k 135 740 N/m Now 3 persons with 3*71.1 kg are a force of 2090 N and the distance by which this force compresses the spring is 2090/135 740 0.01539 m The car will lift by 0.01539. m when the 3 persons leave the car OG
Q: Why the car hanging in the air after the drive wheel also turn (the car lifted by the lift can see the drive wheel in the turn, not the inertia reasons)
But the pressure plate and the flywheel combined with the engine in the work through the flywheel and pressure plate into the gearbox transmission is neutral but the gear inside the re-combination through the input shaft to the output shaft and then to The drive shaft to the differential to the wheel so the wheel turned
