Q: So I‘m looking at this Ford 1989 SUV car that‘s good condition from the outside. haven‘t got a chance to look at the inside or test drive it because they were closed today. Price is $4,000 and it‘s been lifted. So I was wondering if this would be a safe car and worth the price. Especially for a younger driver. Also I‘ll do more research into this car as well.
The only SUV's Ford made in the 1989 woud be the Bronco and Bronco II. The full sized Bronco is nice, but at $4000 a bit overpriced. A lifted Bronco II is pretty much a death trap for a younger driver, Also I'll do more research into this car as well. You might actually want to learn the actual name of the model you're looking at. There's no Ford with he model name SUV Just saying.
Q: 2002 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec v, 83k on engin 130k on car.The repair manual says that it could be the crank and rod bearings. but that doesnt fit in my mind with the sound.on start up, about 50-60% of the time a loud almost rattle , it follows the pitch and tone of the engine but after start up only low gears barely and rarely will i hear the faint sound of it imo i think its a loose heat sheild or something, im going to get my oil change here soon too so idk but i havent really investigated to much , just want some opinions first. thanks in advance
Have it put on a car lift and check the complete exhaust system front to back.
Q: Like for example:Clint Bowyer, Ricky Rudd, Michael Waltrip, Dale Sr,Scott Riggs, Johnny Sauter, Richard Petty, Ricky Craven, Jimmy Horton, Dale Jarrett, Tony Stewart, Ryan Newman, Bill Elliott, Casey Mears, Kyle Busch, Bobby Allison at Pocono, and other famous drivers too.
juicy_wishun, You might want to check your facts first.NASCAR cars are actually rather heavy as far as vehicles are concerned. They weight roughly 3700#, as opposed to somewhere between 1500# and 3000# for a regular car. And no, you can not lift up the side of a NASCAR stock car, or any full sized stock car for that matter, at least not by hand. What causes most of the spectacular crashes is aerodynamic lift created when the cars get sideways at speed. The addition of roof rails, right side windows, roof flaps, and the strips along the bottom of the right side were meant to stop the aerodynamic lift by disturbing the air going over the sideways car. Most of the time it does stop the car from leaving the ground completely. Sometimes, there are other mitigating factors that cause the cars to lift and fly.
Q: would 1 inch or even a half inch really affect the economy or performance of a car.would this cost alot to do?
slight change of center of gravity, but no noticeable difference.
Q: Ok I have a Mustang and need to replace an exhaust pipe that runs from the factory headers (keeping those) to about the middle of the car. i have a 2.5 ton floor jack and 2 jack stands. is there a point on the car that I can jack both sides up evenly at the same time, then put the jackstands under, or should I do one side at a time? how high do jack stands normally go? I need as much room as possible. Should I put the stands directly behind the front tires? just wanna make sure im safe here. thanks
Did you work emergency brake a few times to re-adjust calipers, try first, if doesn't fix, bleed rear calipers and refill master cylinder.
Q: When recovering the car the cop just was really rude then the forensic officer just blew me off he lifted 3 finger prints and was done I had to point out to him the grape faygo can in the back seat and tell him that wasn‘t mine but maybe DNA could be on it. It was almost as if I was bothering him and he was just going through the motions. Has anyone ever been through this where the person was caught because of finger prints and if so how long did it take? It‘s been a full 24 hours since they tooke the prints now.
Unless you live in a small town, or your car was stolen during a big rash of stolen cars (possibly by a car theft ring) there is no realistic consideration that the police will submit any forensic evidence for examination on your recovered stolen car. First of all the was RECOVERED. That means either you (or the insurance company) got something back. Unless you are in a small towns, most cities experience thousands of stol;en cars annually. There is just not enough time to devote to investigating single car thefts. It is off course different if there is a pattern of thefts that yields some investigative potential, or there is a known suspect. Also, real life is not like TV. DNA testing is a time consuming process, and most cities and states have understaffed and overworked laboratories. I have waited months to get DNA results back on Homicides. And, computers don't ID fingerprints. AFIS computers select a list of potential candidates and a human examiner has to compare the print and make the ID. Many (maybe most) latent prints don't have sufficient ridge detail to even be entered into the AFIS system. To get prints into the system on a nonviolentccrimecould take several wweeksto several months, depending on where you live. When I was a line squad detective, I arrested lots of criminals (all types) based on fingerprint identification. But the only car theives I caughtin that way were prolific professional car thieves, who usually had the cars chopped before they were reciovered. In those cases, actually recovering and processing a car was valauable. I have been a detective for the last 30 years. I spent 6 years as a crime scene unit supervisor, and I can't imagine tying up valuable lab time on a case like yours. The time and expense involved in DNA testing, especially without a known suspect can't be justified in this case. Sorry, but that is the reality of the situation.
Q: HOW TO BU A USED HYBRID CAR? WHICH THING SHOULD I CHECK?
You might want to check your codes for this. Either one is good for it's purpose but, not for a replacement. I wouldn't put it in a wall. Like on your toilet or under the sink where it's easy to get at for replacing but, not in a wall. It takes about ten minutes to learn how to solder a pipe. This is the best method for in the wall pipe.
Q: I just bought a 07 toyota tacoma and im looking to put a lift on it. Whats the difference Between a suspension lift and a body lift? Pros and Cons? Also would a 6" lift be too tall/unstable for my daily transportation? Thanks.
6 isn't too tall/unstable, but it is pointless on a small 'truck'. A body lift just raises the body on the frame. You don't gain any ground clearance, so if you're going to go offroad, it won't help you any. Suspension lifts are the only way to go. Stick with around a 3-4 suspension lift and 32-33 tires on that truck and it will go 95% of the places you would want it to go...before breaking and needing a jeep to tow you out.
Q: Makes it goeS up and down
Yes it will cath on fire. Dry putting a blanket in the dry for a while. And when I have cramps I eat bananas they Really help, you should try it.
