Q:I‘m trying to figure out how to flip a car over on it‘s side from one piston. The car is 2,000 lbs. Thank you.
There really isn't any that will work, make sure you have a clean filter and buy you oil from a reputable company
Q:I have a ford taurus, I wanna change my own oil. My mom also has a Taurus. How safe would it be to use our two spare tire jacks to lift the front end of my car to drain the oil? Assuming I use the parking brake and block the tires etc, of course.
No, tire jacks are not safe or sable enough to work under the car. There's enough ground clearance to reach under and drain the oil without jacking up the car. The oil filter may be a different story. But I would never rely on a tire jack alone to keep the car up. They are not that stable or safe. Buy yourself two good quality jack stands (minimum 3 ton size). Don't buy the ones made of cold rolled steel and welded together (they're not that safe). Good ones are not that expensive (about $50 a pair). You'd still want to set the brake and block the wheels.
Q:If i were to lift a classic car. 1 do you do this by putting the car on a truck frame? what truck frame should i use. i heard that the blazers have a very simular wheel base, verify anyone?2 is there anyway i could register it after wrds when its all over. i mean like is there hope it could be street legal3 did you do this? see it in person or just a car and truck guy?
yet why could you want to?? different than for the reality that it seems ignorant (inspite of the reality that I comprehend that attractiveness is interior the attention of the beholder), it has to make a screw up the suspension dynamics, affecting the holiday and coping with- and not in constructive techniques.
Q:Car lighters generally sell how much money, what brand of lift is good
I think the choice of the first lift depends on the needs of their garage. Followed by the pursuit of quality should be. Cheap no good goods, good goods is not cheap. Especially related to security issues, should be more careful.
Q:I just got out of a sneak preview and say a Lambo (i think) get airborne after spolier came off. Car was using nitrous and was going over 220 mph. I know in the movie that it was CGI, but does the spoiler really keep the car from lifting off?
In some cases yes. But a car has to be equipped with a front aerodynamically front. If at any time air gets under from the front of an speeding car, truck etc. it will lift-off. With no control over steering. If enough win gets under a car it will cause it to flip - end over end just as a speed boat would. The rear spoilers are used to only give downward force to the rear. It will not have any affect on the front. Hope this helps answering your question?
Q:i have a 85 buick lesabre that i want to lift. anyone know wher to get a good but cheep lift kit?
it would have to be custom idk you have to research on the lifts for this cars
Q:What is this called? picture included, it picks up the car so you can align it or change oil?
The thing in the picture is a car lift. You use an impact wrench to take the lug nuts off to remove the wheel.
Q:i have a 1998 mustang and i was planning on putting new wheels on it, but the wheels come to close to the wheel well. so i want to lift the car up to make it sit higher. so which would make it higher? new struts? or new coil springs? i can only afford 4 of 1 of them
Would suggest you actually install a wheel on the front and rear, since you already have them, to get an accurate check. A 1998 GT has the larger 245/45/17 tires available with the five split spoke wheel upgrade. You apparently are considering an offset wheel that protrudes out too far. This will also create the need for a re-alignment and stress the suspension. Are you sure this is what you want?
