- Q: I know it sounds stupid but I have a 1997 pontiac sunfire and I want to lift it... High!... I'm really sick of being the smallest car on the road! Where I live everyone has huge suv's and semi's roll through town all the time as well... so if anyone has any info on what to use... I'm interested... and I could figure it all out if it was a truck but I'm just not sure what steps to go through to complete my BA task! People have done weirder things so please help me out!
- Go buy a truck, remove all the panels and put your sunfire body on that... that is all I have for you.
- Q: A stuntman drives a car (without negative lift) over the top of a hill, the cross section of which can be approximated by a circle of radius R 227 m. What is the greatest speed at which he can drive without the car leaving the road at the top of the hill?
- If they have the correct scanner it will work, all OBDII ports are supposed to be standard
- Q: My car trunk lift supports barely keep the trunk up. I know they are filled with a gas or fluid. Is it possible they can be filled up to give them more strength? Who can do this? I hope I will not have to buy two new ones.

- Q: What force must be applied on the small piston in order to lift a car weighing 20000N on the large piston? Could someone help me with the steps to this problem please?
- In a hydraulic Lift (F/f) (A/a) where F and f are the forces exerted by the larger and smaller pistons of cross sectional areas A and a respectively Here let the weight of car be F and we need to find f so apply the formula (Don't forget to use a uniform system of units)
- Q: In a hydraulic lift, the radii of the pistons are 2.76 cm and 10.8 cm. A car weighing W 8.6 kN is to be lifted by the force of the large piston. (a) What force Fa must be applied to the small piston? in N(b) When the small piston is pushed in by 9.2 cm, how far is the car lifted? in mm(c) Find the mechanical advantage of the lift, which is the ratio W / Fa.
- Get a re-built it is less labor intensive. if you don't know where to go,contact me I will help you, i know a few companies that offer a 3 year 75,000 to 100,000 mile warranty.
- Q: Is it just there to make it look aggressive and lowered? Is it because it looks good, different body kit styles. Is it to prevent scratching the bumper? It seems like having a lip would make it scratch even more cuz adding another accessory towards the bottom of the car.
- Well let me explain by an accident about 10 years ago. The Porsche 911(996) GT1 didn't have a front lip spolier nor did the Mercedes CLR. So at the 24 Hours of Le Mans they just all of a sudden flip. Hehe
- Q: Hey so i have a Musang GT and i bought a new X-pipe i want to install myself the problem is i have no way of getting under the car. I don‘t want to take it to a mechanic who will rape me for $$$, so I‘d love to figure out a way to lift it. I have two other cars in te driveway which have jacks to use to replace the tires, but there‘s a problem with this. 1. those jacks are too unstable and can‘t lift the car high enough, and 2. I need mostly to jack up the rear end, but I‘d love to be able to jack the whole car, and the E brake only stops the rear wheels so jacking the rear end would be too dangerous. Anyway is there a place where i can lift my car or a place with a pit? or are there cheap jacks i can buy somewhere? ThanksAnother note, where do you think is a good place to have it installed, assuming i can‘t find a way to do it myself?
- I quit messing with exhaust plumbing years ago. I have learned that muffler shops can do exhaust work at very reasonable prices and - surprisingly - the best tended to have the lowest prices for a given job. They were just faster than the others. Taking exhaust work to general mechanics is crazy talk.
