Q: i really don't understand the rug sizing.Could somebody please explain:a: roughly what size rug fits what size ponyb: what size would fit my Welsh Sec C stallion?
They are all different and the best bet is to measure the horse with an ordinary tape measure - from the center of the chest to the center of the tail. Order the rug that coincides with that size.
Q: I have two dogs and I am so tired of all the fur on the rugs.
There's no such thing. You either get fur stuck to the rugs, or you get large dust bunnies of dog fur in the corners if you have a hard floor.
Q: Do most people prefer carpet over hardwood/vinyl/linoleum?Carpets collect dust hair mites and all things gross.. and you have to vacuum which costs money.. not to mention hard work and is loud and annoying. Also, many Americans wear shoes in their homes. So why would you want a flooring that collects the dirt on the bottom of your shoes? When has home carpeting become generalized standards for most homes? Anybody know?
It's cheaper. It's more comfortable. It's less work to maintain. I wouldn't buy (or rent) a home without it.
Q: are there any home made recipes i can use for removing stains out of the carpet?thanks.
Shaving cream is also great for some stains
Q: How to clean coral velvet correctly?
In daily use, should often be carpet in the sun bathing, and gently pat the adhesion on the blanket of sweat, dust and dander are removed, and the hair carefully combing can keep the surface clean, soft, fluffy blanket. Collection should prevent extrusion, can keep the blanket texture is elastic, care more.
Q: How do you make old, trampled carpet quot;spongyquot;- feeling again?
well if your carpet is still good, then rip up the carpet and get new padding for underneath it. (that's that spongy feeling that carpet has when it has good padding) I also recommend that if you don't know how to install carpet materials then get a professional to do the job. IN THE END in my point of view TILE is your best bet. I mean unless you like carpet then have at it with the new padding. BUT if you want the best choice of flooring, go with tile. It's much cleaner and easier to work with. (and just from experience: if you get a light colored tile then get a dark colored grout.) it looks great GOOD LUCK!!!
Q: For the record, I didn't want this rug...I told my husband anything that says quot;do not add waterquot; was a bad idea with young kids in the house....but here we are....So I know you're not supposed to use water on sisal (natural fiber/grass) rugs, but merely quot;blottingquot; as per the directions does not leave me with a clean, sanatized feeling. I generally use water and hydrogen peroxide to clean my carpets (I avoid chemical cleaners whenever I can), but how can I at least freshen up the area until enough time has passed that I'm not screaming quot;don't sit/crawl there!quot; Is baking soda an option?
My only suggestion - make your husband responsible for this problem immediately, and walk away. You did not want the rug for just this reason, and any move for you to take responsibility means you buy into the idea that this was an appropriate purchase. Stick to your guns, call him or text him and let him know his fabulous rug has experienced just the thing you knew would happen, and just drop it in his lap. The minute he brought it into the house, he took responsibility for whatever happened next- so don't do it for him. At all. This isn't just about the rug, of course- it's about power and who makes the decisions. If he wants to make them, it's up to him to do whatever it takes to follow through. Not your job, and it wasn't a joint decision made with your input. Call him, let him know he has a problem, and walk away. Not one paper towel- I'm not kidding. Or you will own the #$% rug and the blame for the spot your cleaning efforts make.
Q: i have a little dog and i'm still training her so i have a carpet cleaner spray i use on her areas that she had an accident on. Well anyway she did her thing inside instead of outside and i grabbed the tilex tile cleaner with bleach instead of the carpet cleaner and now my carpet is bleached in 2 areas! I am moving apartments in a month and i am afraid i wont get my deposit back. Is there any carpet dye or somthing i could do???
Dying bleach stains in a carpet can be done, but that is something usually best left to a professional. Try contacting local flooring companies, or check your local registry to see if you have someone in your area that does 'carpet repair, or dye'. If the bleach stains aren't very large, then it might be possible to 'swap' a portion of the carpet out of a closet, and patch it. Again, this isn't something I would recommend for a novice. It does take a bit of skill to make a patch that blends in so it isn't visible. Using carpet dye, or patching a carpet, are two things that can very easily end up with more problems than you started with, hehe. In a worst case scenario, the carpet could be replaced.. so it would be a toss up, as to which would be more expensive, losing the deposit, or installing new carpet. Before replacing it, I'd suggest you double check with the apartment management. Many apartment complexes will keep at least a portion of the deposit, for 'cleaning' anyway, so there is a chance you won't get your full deposit back, even if you leave it with absolutely no damage at all. The only way around it would be to hire a professional cleaning company yourself, and that usually costs more than letting the apartment management have their maintenance/cleaning employees do the work. I would recommend that, if you cannot find someone to repair the carpet, that you get some estimates on replacing it. Then, if the apartment management tries to keep the entire deposit, you make them break it down by cost (in writing). If their cost for carpet replacement is higher than your estimates, you've got something you can use to barter with, if it is worth your time. Good Luck
Q: They always say quot;Oh she went to a red carpet event, quot; or they got her picture at quot;the red carpet?quot; I don't get it! Is it just a RED CARPET that they walk on? What's the purpose? I know this question is stupid... but I'd REALLY like to know. It's killing me. :(
I enjoyed Penelope Cruz's dress she wore to the 2012 Oscars. She gave the effect of a suited famous person. It recognized wonderful on her along with her dermis tone and the coiffure that she had. I extremely favorite it. It grow to be as quickly as straight forward yet based!
Q: My husband and I just moved into yet another rental. The carpet is decent; it's a little stained, but VERY worn in high traffic areas. We have tried everything from having them professionally cleaned to cleaning each inch with a toothbrush (a trick my local flooring salesman gave to make the carpet fibers separate and puff back up). We live in a college town where rent is very high and are so sick of being embarrassed of our carpets. Any suggestions on how to fix this or cover it up?It's a medium pile, standard beige. We HATE area rugs because our furniture makes them wrinkle up (but I'm also very attached to my furniture so I'm not getting rid of that) and I really want a nice smooth look. Even the huge 8x10 area rugs won't stay nice and flat. I looked into carpet tiles, but you can't install those over carpet and my landlord has refused to change it or let me change it. I'm really at the end of my rope here....I just want a nice, clean apartment that I can be proud to show off.
There are many solutions you can come up with and you are having hard time to clean it then why dont you buy a new one than suffering for an old rug, i am sure you can find cheap one so you will not be embarassed by your visitors.
