Wilton carpet, like Axminster carpet, is woven. However the difference between the two methods is the way in which the carpet is woven. Whereas the Axminster yarn is woven into each weft and then cut to the required pile height and then reinserted when that colour is needed again –the Wilton carpet yarn is a continuous strand woven all the way through.

It has a tag on it from a profesional rug repair shop in Dallas ( the tag just says indo bijar 6x9 clean and replace fringe) It's in great shape and was hoping to resell at our yardsale but not sure about the value. - yes. it works well. i would not do it on a very expensive rug. i would have it cleaned. if you do not get all the soap out, it can attract dirt. also, it is somewhat of a pain if the rug is large....rinsing and what not.
