Q:How to distinguish the quality of light steel keel
In fact, distinguish the quality of the keel is very simple: First, weigh the weight of the keel Second, look at the surface of the keel rust treatment : The current point is a little better hot-dip anti-rust treatment, I personally think that the keel surface treatment is not very important, even light steel keel even rust or years or 10 years to put the keel rust off. So the owners do not have to worry when buying.
Q:4' x 2' acoustical ceiling tiles, separated by 1 1/2 metal strips. Every few feet, a 2' x 4' florescent lighting fixture.I'm an artist and have paintings on every spare inch of wall space..including the back of the door. Out of space to hang canvas and paint.Am considering hanging framed canvas from the metal strips on the ceiling.Does anyone know how much weight the drop, acoustical ceiling dividers can take..without crashing to the floor..taking the florescent lighting fixture(s) with it?..give or take..?
Ceiling Dividers
Q:Ok, I need to know if they either prevent conduction, convection or radiation . I also need to know how they prevent these thermal energy transfer mechanisms (conduction, radiation and convection) from occuring.
Tall trees: If you have tall trees around your house, your house will be cooler because of the shade. The trees are blocking radiation from the sun, and to a lesser extent stopping convection to the air around the house by acting as a wind block. The air around your house removes heat through open, free convection. Polystyrene: The polystyrene panel itself has less conduction than other materials because it is less dense. Conduction is essentially shaking the atoms of the materials. Less dense things typically have less atoms to shake. (There are exceptions). But if you are talking about a dropped ceiling (with the panels haning from the real ceiling in the metal grid) as a whole system, there is more to it than that. Without the panels, you would lose heat to your roof (and the world outside) by convecting from your room to the ceiling, CONDUCTING through the ceiling, and convecting to the world outside. Your sandwich would be: Outside world Ceiling Room air But a dropped ceiling adds some more layers in there, most importantly a space of dead air, which is an excellent insulator - similar to a thermapane window. Your sandwich would become: Outside world Ceiling Dead (not moving) air between polystyrene panels Polystyrene panels Room air The extra layer in the sandwich helps. Polystyrene makes a good insulator, but it would still work if you dropped a ceiling with metal panels because of the dead air. In heat and mass transfer problems, it is critical that when you ask the question, you define what the system boundary is. My answer is long because I don't know what that is in your question. Hope it helps.
Q:I recently moved into my mom's finished basement, and I would like to put up a wall, with a door, for more privacy, but I'm not sure how much it would cost. I know it's hard to estimate the cost for something like this, but I'm just looking for a price range? The wall would be approximately 8 feet long, with no electrical, and a door. The only thing I think may cause a problem is that the ceiling is a tiled ceiling, which I'm not sure if a wall can be built around the ceiling, or not? If anyone has any suggestions, it would be a lot of help. The main reason for putting a wall up is because my step father is allergic to cats, and I have two 8 month old kittens, so I'm mostly concerned with keeping the cat hair and dander from making its way to the rest of the house. Thanks for any information!
two three hundred maybe
Q:Light steel keel how many meters long?
10 cm, 4 meters also have
Q:how do you level ceiling grid for acoustic ceilings?
The cheapest way is a tube level. Fill a long clear plastic tube with water. (Long enough to reach all around the room.). The level in both ends will be the same. If you fix one end at your reference point you can move the other end anywhereon the grid, and the water level will be the same as the reference point.
Q:the ceiling tile with no keels.(there are keels inside it but you can't see them cuz they're hidden),so how do you call this kind of ceilig tile?
Sorry Yangyang, but I don't understand the meaning of keels in the ceiling tiles. There is a style of ceiling called a dropped ceiling where a metal grid framework (often white) hangs lower than the original ceiling and square, often white tiles are placed inside the grid. If any wires or repairs need to be done above the dropped ceiling they can just push up on a tile, do the repairs and then drop the tile back into place. It is seen often in office or industrial spaces and occasionally in residential. It is fairly modern. An older style of ceiling treatment know as a tin ceiling tiles are an antique metal patterned and textured tile that are attached directly onto the ceiling. They are found in old and often expensive homes and sometimes restaurants. Although they are an antique (starting in the 1800s) you can still buy plastic or metal ones to add to a home giving it an old style charm. Are either of these what you are looking for?
Q:I'm renting an apartment from a family friend in the lower floor of a raised ranch (basically a basement). It as a (poorly installed) drop ceiling everywhere, including the bathroom. Because the family friend is cutting me a deal on rent, I thought I'd fix up the ceiling, at least in the bathroom. The foam tiles are sagging and discolored, and I'm sure a breeding ground for mold. What I'm wondering is what my least expensive, most expensive, and most eco-friendly option is for a replacement? I've heard bad things (environmentally) about PVC and most of the vinyl I've seen is a little pricey. I'd like to keep it as close to $5/tile as I can (the grid has up to 2x4 squares), and I'm dealing with a space that's approximately 8'x10'. Thanks.
use 1/2 drywall . buy 3 sheets of greenboard drywall. paint the grid and drywall. cut the board and lay it in the grid. it will look like a brand new ceiling and be mold resistant.
Q:I'm doing a reno in my basement and want to put crown molding up but can't imagine it looking good. Any suggestions?
Cool new item I tried and love it. Placed crown molding about two inches from ceiling all the way around room. Placed rope lights inside so that it gives a slight glow to the corner but bulbs themselves are not seen. Note before installation I ran a 110 outlet straight up the wall from the light switch (wires inside of wall), tied it into the switch so I can turn them on and off. The outlet is hidden behind the molding as well. Unique, Cool and all my relatives want me to do the same in their houses.
Q:Light steel keel gypsum board bulk density
Light steel keel is better than gypsum board
