- Q: they are 4months old, a boy girl, fixed.they keep scratching and pulling up the edges so that its coming up in strings/scrunched threads. - hey sweetie,thanks for answering my question!!xx my advise may seem abnormal or even crazy but if u leave orange peels or even full 2ltre bottles of water in the corners of ur rug and orange peels on a plate lol, the orange citrus scent cats hate and the water in the bottles they are afraid of or unsure of,my mum and granny done it for their gardens as they had no bother with cats inside and it worked a treat!! also.If it does not work im sorry but it should! keep me updated petxoxo hope ive helpedxxxx
