- Q:I don't have the cash to rent a rug doctor. I have a large white rug in my living room and I guess from walking around the house with no socks on, there is a 2'x6' area that is darker than the rest, along with a few stains from spilled drinks.I have a bottle of some carpet cleaning foam with a cheap scrubber on the end but it's just too small to cover that large of an area.So I'm thinking a bucket and a rag might be the best option. I have since bought a small bathroom size mat over the area my feet go on but I'd like to clean it still.So maybe a bucket of warm water with a dab of dishwashing liquid detergent? Or some baking soda?I also don't want to get so many suds in there to where I have to keep scrubbing with a rag and water only 5-10 times to get all the cleanser out.Any ideas?
- If okorder . Carpeting is an expensive investment, you should take care of it. Dishwashing soap normally is colored, these dyes can redye your carpet if you administer it in the cleaning process. Use only clear or white dish soap if you are bold enough to try this your self. The bottom of your socks is probably where the dirt is coming from. Keep a pair of slippers available, preferably without black hard foam soles, and wear them inside the home.
- Q:It's pretty funny because we are both artist but can't seem to agree on a rug. My living room is bubble gum pink, yes and extremely wild color. My sofa is a sage or dull fern green. My coffee table is dark walnut. What color rug would you place in this room? My FI was looking at a sage color rug with modern flowers on it my only problem is that it doesn't have any pink in it. We are aguring if the rug need pink in it to match. I found a dark sage rug with light pink accents but I am afraid it's tooo dark. What do you think I should aim for- a darker green then sofa or a lighter green?Any adivce would greatly help. And NO I will not change the color of my walls, I love my Barbie on Crack PINK color!!

- Oxy clean does not contain bleach and will not change the color of your carpet.Oxy clean makes several different products and some even state they will work on carpets.If you want to try it on a out of site area such as under a piece of furniture.But I believe it will be fine.

You shouldn't have to pay a dime That is why people rent.Throw in that u r afraid the baby will get the fibers in his.her mouth and that would not be good.A light may go off in the landlords head....lawsuit? fraying carpet is not acceptable in an apartment

- Q:The rug cleaning company wants $300 to clean the rugs, $200 to deodorize them and $200 for a protection service that will help them stay clean. Are the extras worth it? - Q:I keep a super clean litter box, sometimes she goes in it sometimes she doesn't. The bath rug is literally a foot away from her litter box. She's 1yrs old,fixed and is good behaved except for that. Ive washed the rugs, got new ones, tried different material rugs, everything... the rugs have all had rubber backing. - There are so many reasons why she could be doing this, I have 3 cats and I went through this with one of mine a few years ago and now a different cat started doing it after I moved.(The other one stopped when I started covering the couch, his favorite place to pee, with aluminum foil when I wasn't home) Moving can be a big factor behind it, cats bond more with their homes than their owners so moving is a HUGE deal to them. I would have the vet rule out a urinary infection just to be safe, especially if she meows while going or you see any blood in it. Some cats just seem to like peeing on soft things rather than litter. That seems to be what is going on with my guy now, he never did it while living in my apartment, but he started peeing on dirty clothes and rugs about 2 months after I moved into a house, and I had thought he was the most adjusted one! If you catch her doing it, you can yell loudly or shake a pop can with a couple of pennies in it and it may sink in to her that you do not like what she is doing. So far I have not found a cure for my guy, other than I can no longer leave anything on the floor (rugs, clothes, towels, nothing). If I do, he pees on them within a few hours. It is very frustrating, my boyfriend is ready to get rid of him if it doesn't stop. Just a quick note, both of my boys were cleared of having any medical problems causing their peeing outside the litterbox
