Q: Should the student press be afforded the same rights as the regular press?
I was a Mass Comm major, and worked on Student Radio and all that jazz. To your question.....ummmm. no Freedom of the Press Lies with the person who owns the press. Example that college. As a student press you are subject to school ruling and what they feel is appropriate. So if I want to start a paper and say something bad, i would start my own paper , so I could do this. This is what I have been taught, not that I completely believe it.
Q: okay so i weigh about 160-165 5'9 and im 13 and in 8th going to play freshman football in may. Bench press is a big problem cuz i think i can only do 115 so i want to not only get stronger in my bench press but all in squats,hang clean ect. i do a weight lifting program and i was wondering if it would be a good idea to work out like bench press,hang clean,and all that stuff in the morning in my garage and also do weight training that same day around 5:15pm? (i would wake up around 6:30 to work out in the morning in my house cuz i have a bench press in my garage and i have school at around 8 so what should i do i play online i need to get STRONG!!!!!!!!!!
theres no point in doing two weight sessions in a day hitting the same muscle group...it would lead quickly to overtraining and you dont want that. Be patient and progress will come. Remember that you need to overload your muscles at each training session, you need it to be intense to shock your system and you need rest to let your body recouperate. Other exercises such as squats and cleans will actually help your bench press in one way or another (they are full body movements) and so will hit muscles that you use during the bench press. So to summerise there is no need to train the same body parts twice a day, in fact it would be detrimental to your performance on the football field, so take it slow, increase the weights gradually and keep a training diary/ log so you can keep track of how much weight your moving. Q: Ok when I buy press on nails it's says on the back of the box: Wear beyond 7 days not recommended why are you not suppose too wear them beyond 7 days what will happen?
Press on nails start to look old or get doubles under them. Also press on nails usually do not last that long.
Q: I'm 16 years old i weigh 170 lbs and my max bench press is 145 lbs i would like to get up to at least 170 lbs by at least a couple of weeks what workout plan would help to quickly increase my max bench press?i also do take protein shakes but i have not seen much results from them
First of all I don't think pressing 25 lbs more in only two weeks is a reasonable expectation. Having said that I will share a few things that worked for me. - I increased my bench press by improving my triceps workout. They were the weakest link my bench press. - I started bench pressing my max weight one time a week instead of three. This allowed time for my muscles to recover. - I also had success performing three to five sets of the heaviest weight I could press more than six times to failure. These were things that worked for me. Maybe you will have success with one or two of them. Good Luck!

Q: Will US Customs press charges against a Canadian?I was shipping some personal items (clothing, books, documents etc.) to the US through UPS from Canada and US Customs found a very small amount (only 2 pill bottles) of what they call steroids. I was told that the packages were returned to Sender (Sender being me) as a result. Will US Customs pursue this further? Will they press charges? What will more than likely happen? I am a Canadian citizen.
I wouldn't say that two bottles are a very small amount. It is doubtful that US Customs will pursue you in another country, especially if they are legal in your country.

Q: I have a machine where you can do a lot of workouts. One is where you are sitting and have one bar on each side of you that you push forward, like if you are bench pressing, only sitting up. Does this work out the same muscles as lying on back and is it easier. People ask me how much I bench and I can do 200 sitting but have no idea how much I could do laying.
If you max out with 200 lbs on the seated press you won't be able to do that amount with free weights. You gain more balance from balancing the weights and the nautilus cuts down some of the work your muscles have to do to push, balance, and lower the weight. You should invest in a flat bench and a barbell. Or if you lift alone I recommend dumbbells. Your pecs will get a better workout.

Hey Michael! The average man who has not lifted weights before should be able to bench approx 60Kg or 130lbs (Strength wise) once they're familiar with the technique that is. Use the principle of 'progressive overload' to gauge when you should increase the weight -depending on your goals. e.g. 3 sets of 8-12 reps at your working weight is a good guideline for maximum muscle growth Start with a weight you can do for 3 sets of 8 reps Try to Increase your reps each workout When you can complete 3 sets of 12 reps increase the weight and start again 5lb increases are perfect for an exercise such as the bench press For strength 5 sets of 5 is the best routine and allows for heavier lifting Apply the same logic as above for progress Be careful,learn and practice good technique before worrying about the weight you're lifting (Start with just the bar and focus on technique is fine - don't let ego get you into trouble you'll be lifting heavy quickly enough) and always have a spotter for your working sets.Good Luck :-)
