- Q: I know you you have to tuck in your shoulders for flies but do u hve to do it for press also...?
- Flies and presses work the same muscle group at a different angle. If you are lying down, you just need to make sure that you are straight, tummy pulled in, and the arm movements are strong and controlled. arms slightly bent throughout the whole movement (don't lock elbows).
- Q: Iv been doing dumb bell bench press all summer using 60s because I had no one to spot me on regular bench, can that increase my flat bench weight?
- db press is only good as an assistance lift for benc press, its works ur chest more than anything else, its not the same as bb bench

- Press on the button 'M twice in quick sucession. That means once u press the letter m, press the letter m again quickly, it will skip to the next letter.. n James C

- Q: im 14 and i weigh around 120. i can bench press 95 to about 105. is that good for my age and size, or shuld i be able to bench press more. (ive been working out for about a month with free weights and the weight bench.)
- NO it doesnt stunt your growth your not too young i get tired of hearing this freaking myth i have been lifting weights since i was 12 im currently 5'11 and 170 pounds. Now when someone is asking what is good most say your body weight but i consider that above average or really irrelevant because someone could be heavy and not strong but for a 14 year old that is below average but im around strong people and i am one myself all the time if you work on it you should get stronger and stronger and just keep up the good work let me tell you that not to be rude but without any weight lifting when i started at 12 i could bench press 95 pounds
- Q: I recently started lifting heavier with much lower reps and hit the 400 pound bench press. I am looking to try for the 450 mark. I was curious as to what kind of Routines and styles people use/used that helped them reach goals. I am currently 5'8 and very lean at about 185lbs give or take about 5lbs. Eating is the hardest task for me because I lack a big appetite, however I try to eat 3 solid meals a day with a snack or 2 in between. Mainly Chicken and Rice. I am curious about length of workouts/exercises/routines/rep ranges/supplements. I use some cheap generic protein to cut down on costs along with Jack3d for my pre workout drink.
- 400 lbs 185 lbs is nearly elite, assuming your form is good and you're not doing it on a Smith press and are doing FULL reps to your chest and back up. Do you squat, clean, or deadlift at all? With 400 lbs on a bench press you should be lifting four plates on each side easily for deads.
- Q: Alright so I have been lifting for about 3 months now...but my bench press is just not getting stronger. Ive been stuck at around 135-140 for anywhere from 8-12 reps depending on how i feel. I think I have pretty good form, I just dont know what I'm doing wrong. My other lifts are increasing, including other pressing movements such as my military press. My military press, in the past few months has gone around 80 pounds for 10 reps to now about 100 pounds for 10 reps, which I guess is ok progress but definitely not amazing. I am 17 years old, 6 foot 3 and weight about 170 pounds. I eat ALOT, and after workouts i supplement with protein shakes. I have been gaining weight fairly steadily. - Gotta transfer it up guy. Muscles get used to stuff over the years. Throw in four reps of five's. I cherish to do pyramids eight reps. 6 reps. four reps. two reps. Reps of 12 each every now and then is well too.

- hey bro. squating primarily targets lower body in the quads and glutes. leg press primarily focuses on just quads only. both work just fine, and for a beginer i would recomend you doing leg press first to get the feel for it, and once your ready start squating, but remember when you squat use perfect form. good luck with you goals and have fun
