FAQ

Q: What's the difference with cyclonic to multi-cyclonic filtration system?

Multi-cyclonic is where the dust container has a plastic filter section inside and has many little tunnels in it that separate the finer dust and dirt for the next filter and there is no HEPA filter in the middle plastic filter section.

Cyclonic filtration is where there is a central HEPA filter that sits inside the dust container and catches the finer dust.

Q: My vacuum just stopped while I was using it! What do I do now?

All of our vacuum cleaners have been fitted with a thermal safety cut-off switch which activates to stop the motor from burning out. When it does that it will prevent the unit from turning on again until it has cooled sufficiently to reset, which is between 2 – 4 hrs. The most common reason for safety cut-off switch activated is the filters needs to be cleaned. Please read the instruction manual and follow the instructions on how to clean the filters.

Q: In the last three months I have purchased two separate vacuum cleaners from Wal-Mart.....granted they were cheap...but they were also all I could afford. They have both stopped working...the most recent one I got worked great for about a week ( it cost 40 bucks)..and now it gets so clogged up every time I use it, that its pointless to even try...and it leaves black marks all over my carpet, I have to stop and unclog the hose after only doing half a room....plus it isnt even picking n e thing up!!! I am so fed up.....I can't afford an Orek or a Hoover....is there a cheap vacuum that wont quit on me??? Price range from 50-80 dollars????......Please help!!!
First, take your vacuums back to Walmart and get your money back. You might go to a thrift store and see what they have available. My friend got an almost new Rainbow for what you are paying for a cheap vacuum..she was lucky..you may be lucky, too.
Q: Im only 22 yrs old so Im still domestically challenged. Im going to be buying a vacuum and I dont know what to look for.. meaning watts n such... someone please help
make sure it is made by a good company such as sears. i prefer a canister verses an upright. just go for the basics. not too flashy.
Q: what is green light for on heritage II vacuum cleaners?
The little green lite on the agitator head is there simply to let you know when the agitatior is running, or if the belt is broken and it's not running.
Q: Toy vacuum cleaners, mops, pretend kitchens and stuff like that?? Isnt that kind of wrong? Seriously.
Nah, it's training the women folk for when they get older...or so I've been told by many men. Plus, if you get them the toy brooms and vaccum cleaners, they can practice riding them before they get their permits in witch school.
Q: my floor tool is broken and i want to buy a new one. can i just buy anything and will it fit universally ? i kno its an irrelevant category but most common people would know this yes or no answer to a common household appliance.. thanks
No necessarily, many differences.....!!
Q: it seems to be depositing the dust and crap back out. The carpet ends up worse then it originally was! The band defiantly hasn't broken as the brush is still spinning. Its past its warranty (conveniently lol)Any ideas?
some times the hoses that carry the dust to the unit CRACK and leak the dust right back into the air. just fixed mine last week. I wrapped electrical pvc tape completely covering the hoses just to be safe.
Q: is there a name for fear of vaccum cleaners? because I KNOW i have it! ever since i was an infant i would screem frickin bloody murder in my crib when my mom would run teh vacuum cleaner. when i was jsut a small child i would run from it, afraid it would suck up my toes. and now, today, at 14, i cannot STAND the loud noise they make and i do NOT put my toes in front of one. it takes me a few moments before i can even bring myself to turn it on. the bigger, louder they are, the worse my reactions. sometimes at work (i volunteer at a veterinary hospital) i have to ask one of my co-workers to do it because i will purposly busy myself just to get away from it.please, do not laugh at me. it's embarrassing enough and i just want to know the name of it.thankxx! :]
I'm very interested about the answer to this question
Q: My vacuum cleaner is broken and I was just thinking what did people use before vacuum cleaners? random question I know but it just popped into my head.
little known fact: the vacuum came before the carpet.
Q: Have the amount of murders by strangulation using a vacuum cleaner power cable decreased since the invention of cordless cleaners?
I would have thought so. There is no cord
Q: If I sweep up a million of them and vacuum the last 100, will my vacuum be happy?
I would use a broom. If you have a shop vac that would work but those peanuts will clog your every day house vacuum.
