FAQ

Q: What's the difference with cyclonic to multi-cyclonic filtration system?

Multi-cyclonic is where the dust container has a plastic filter section inside and has many little tunnels in it that separate the finer dust and dirt for the next filter and there is no HEPA filter in the middle plastic filter section.

Cyclonic filtration is where there is a central HEPA filter that sits inside the dust container and catches the finer dust.

Q: My vacuum just stopped while I was using it! What do I do now?

All of our vacuum cleaners have been fitted with a thermal safety cut-off switch which activates to stop the motor from burning out. When it does that it will prevent the unit from turning on again until it has cooled sufficiently to reset, which is between 2 – 4 hrs. The most common reason for safety cut-off switch activated is the filters needs to be cleaned. Please read the instruction manual and follow the instructions on how to clean the filters.

Q: what is green light for on heritage II vacuum cleaners?
your unit is full?
Q: i am trying to decide which toddler vacuum cleaner to get my daughter for christmas. i've been reading reviews and still can't decide. we have a dyson which we *love* but the childs dyson has the worst reviews of all, it seems. does anyone have the kids dyson, hoover, dirt devil... or any of the other ones? i really just want the one that actually works the best. we have 4 dogs and my 2 y/o actually will go around with our handheld and go straight for dog hair to 'clean up.' i'd like to get her up off her knees and be able to do the 'push and pull' with a real vacuum like mommy and daddy do since that's what she really wants... plus using the dustbuster has her hands closer to the brushes than i'd like.
none of them really work! I think you looking for a reall one. If you go to Target, they have great DirtDevil's and Eurekas that work like a real upright (they are) and don't need bagS
Q: If you have an Oreck vacuum, could you give me some feedback please? My biggest cleaning problem right now is cats. We've gotten rid of all our carpets - vinyl or laminate floors only, which has eliminated all the pet odors. But it is still hard to get rid of all the pet hair (etc) that builds up on all their favorite bedding or couches.I've got my eye on the 1400 Series canister vacuum ($899! What am I thinking??!?!) But if it does what it claims, I think this would be worth it.I appreciate any feedback based on your experience with Oreck products. Thanks!
Not according to Consumer Reports! Oreck is one of their lower rated vacuums. Their best buy is Kenmore (Sears) Progressive with Direct Drive 35922 that sells for $300 and is rated excellent for removing pet hair. I don't usually buy service policies, but if you buy a vacuum from Sears I recommend it, because they not only repair free of charge during the covered period -- they inspect/service your vacuum annually and even replace the HEPA filter for free when it's needed.
Q: Do any ladies have an old vacuum cleaner that they would love to part with? I'm looking for some older style soft-bag uprights if possible. What style/color do you have? Thanks!!
Your okorder / I'm sure you can find a vacuum that suits your needs there. -
Q: Every day I meet a black woman she asks me what kind of vacuum cleaner I have. How can I tell them that there is more to conversation than vacuuming? Please help, this is driving me nuts!
Now stop with the stereotypes
Q: I really need a cheap vacuum cleaner for an art project exam,I know they can't sell them in most charity chops, I've heard the council may do some kind of scheme where they take used or old vacuum cleaners and give them to poorer households, I'd like to know more about this. Or if anyone has a broken or old/used hoover that they'd like to donate I can collect, I live in the Yorkshire area of England and would really br grateful it :]
Hi,I'm not that sure but at my local rubbish depo they sell electricals including vacuum cleaners...I suggest you go to your local depo and ask.If not you could, yes, carry on looking into the council scheme. Jake
Q: So I like seen Jurassic Park again in the 3D room at my movie plex and then I realized something. I was vacuuming and a paper clip got sucked in then I recalled that when I hear the velociraptors.
they use stock footage
Q: This includes toasters, cyborgs, vacuum cleaners and magnets.
Well, some theories suggest that when a system acquires a certain level of intelligence (let's say, like the human brain), it might become conscious. When humans devise a way to create a robot that is a little 'smarter' then humans itself, only the robot will be able to improve itself (as it is the smartest thing on the planet). This process will continue until humans don't know who the system works anymore. Think of us being descendant from some ape-like ancestor. You may see it as a creature being totally different as yourself. What will a robot think after years of improving itself, making it maybe a 100 times more intelligent than humans... will it see us as equal? Will it feel any link to us at all? It's like comparing human intelligence with that of an ant.
Q: I am currently doing house cleaning and using my clients vaccums, but I am wondering if I should get my own, because they mostly have area rugs and their vacuum cleaners are just too strong, it's almost like the vacuum's are trying to eat the rugs! So I was looking at the Eureka, The Boss, and was thinking about getting that, because I just don't want to be liable for a ruined vacuum, or rug! What do you think?Would you rather have someone use your own vacuum which may be too strong, or their own which may be just right?
I may be in the minority here, but I would prefer that a house keeper, cleaning person use my own sweeper rather than one that has been used in someone else's home. It's one heck of a good way to transmit some not very nice things from one home to another. Things like fleas, bed bugs, dust mites to name a few. We have several throw rugs that the vacuum tries to eat and we just clean those with the hand attachment. Yeah, it requires a little bending over and such but oh well. They are laundered on a regular basis so it's more for pet hair removal than anything else here.
Q: I have a bug vacuum (toy) and it doesn't work very well. The vacuum has 3 power settings and is turned on by pressing a trigger. I was gonna just pull out the circuit board and add more batteries, but it seemed like a good idea to ask on the internet first, because I know very little about electronics and stuff. Some advice from somebody who knows what they're doing would be much appreciated.
The best way to make a vacuum stronger is to make a best valve.
