FAQ

Q: What's the difference with cyclonic to multi-cyclonic filtration system?

Multi-cyclonic is where the dust container has a plastic filter section inside and has many little tunnels in it that separate the finer dust and dirt for the next filter and there is no HEPA filter in the middle plastic filter section.

Cyclonic filtration is where there is a central HEPA filter that sits inside the dust container and catches the finer dust.

Q: My vacuum just stopped while I was using it! What do I do now?

All of our vacuum cleaners have been fitted with a thermal safety cut-off switch which activates to stop the motor from burning out. When it does that it will prevent the unit from turning on again until it has cooled sufficiently to reset, which is between 2 – 4 hrs. The most common reason for safety cut-off switch activated is the filters needs to be cleaned. Please read the instruction manual and follow the instructions on how to clean the filters.

Q: which Vacuum cleaners
I recommend Dyson if you can afford it.
Q: My pool vacuum has no suction and I have no psi rating, my polaris wont work either. Is something clogged how do I unclog it?
Some Polaris' are pressure washers and need a separate pump to make them work. Others are vacuum side cleaners and use your pool pump to power them. Check your filter it is likely dirty and causing low pressure and low water flow. You're welcome!!
Q: With Mother's Day around the corner I thought I'd ask something we all can use. There seems to be this idea floating around that many women don't like to receive things like vacuum cleaners, irons, etc. and would rather recieve something more sentimental in value. Men, on the other hand, love receiving tools and things that they can use to do things with. Most of the women in my family like getting things they can use like a vacuum cleaner or something to cook with, so I have to wonder if that thought is really true. So women, if you received a vacuum cleaner or some similar gift, would you be offended by it? If you would be, why? Is it implying that you are the homemaker because you're a woman?
Women do not like to get practical gifts for romantic events like anniversaries. We just don't, and I'm a practical person. And if you think that giving her a vacuum cleaner for a gift would motivate her to clean, you are so far off base it's not even funny. It would probably offend her, so if you want to see a fourth anniversary I wouldn't do it.
Q: What are some great vacuum cleaners? Price is a factor. Which ones have worked well and lasted longer for you?
Henry, hands down.
Q: Which suck worse: leeches or vacuum cleaners?
well leeches suck. But if your asking what literally SUCKS harder: leeches
Q: What's wrong with it.I changed the bag and dug everything out of the bottom, got a bunch of stuff out but it still isn't working?
Maybe the beater brush isn't turning or the passage in the power head is clogged. Try removing the power head from the pipe and looking down into it to see if you can see light (or the clog). If the power head isn't clogged, maybe the pipe or hose has something jammed. Try turning it around and place it up to the suction port backwards, turn the vacuum on and see if it will pull it out that way. An old trick on vacuum cleaners is to put your hand over the end of the pipe to see if there's suction - if not, then the hose or some other passage is clogged, or there's an opening in the vacuum chamber section (door not fully closed or seated?) that's allowing air in where it shouldn't be getting in. If the hose isn't clogged, you'll feel suction and the hose may also contract, and the motor will speed up noticeably when you block the pipe with your hand.
Q: .....is that BAD? did he kill my vacuum cleaner? does anyone know about this?
Used Dyson Vacuum
Q: Vacuum cleaners scare the crap out of me! I have to hold my breath before I turn one on. And my brother turned one on and came at me with it and I screamed... It's hilarious but I can't help it. If this is a real phobia could someone tell me the name of it? Hahahaha, thanks. =]
Of course. maybe you developed that fear when you were young. Fear is developed out of associations. For example in your case, the vacuum cleaner at first was just a neutral stimulus to you but maybe there was a aversive stimulus that you have associated with the vacuum cleaner. After several subsequent pairing of the Vacuum cleaner and that aversive stimulus, your fear of the aversive stimulus has been passed on to the cleaner. now even without the presence of the aversive stimulus, because of conditioning, you developed that fear.
Q: YAHOO ANSWERS TOOK MY PREVIOUS QUESTION DOWN SO NOW I HAVE TO ASK AGAIN - does it need it to vacuum
The vacuum cleaner operates through the hose. If you remove the hose you can add attachments for cleaning crevices and upholstery. The floor part of the vacuum will have no suction. When you replace the hose you will have suction through the vacuum part and you can use it for carpets and rugs.
Q: need a new vacuum cleaner what is the best brand?
I just went through buying a new vacuum cleaner. Here was my experience... I looked over the expensive brands such as Dyson. I just couldn't bring myself to spend that much on a vacuum. So I went for the Infinity. It was about half the cost of the Dyson and did about the same job. However. Both the Dyson and the Infinity are so hard to take apart to clean the filters I ended up hating the Infinity. I have pets and I usually empty it several times when I go through the whole house. The top cylinder needs to be rinsed and allowed to dry for 24 hours after each use. What a pain. I ended up getting a Dirt Devil bag-less vacuum for $100. I love it, it can be emptied in a few seconds and no more headache. My house is much cleaner because I don't dread it.
