Q: which upright is best out of the department store brands? (Oreck, bissell, dyson, eureka, etc?) Recommendations should be for less than $500.
for the best suction you can get i would stay away from the uprights and get a Henry i have been a cleaner for 12yrs and have used all the different cleaners you can think of and the best one i have ever used is the Henry
Q: Iam supposed to do costing for a modification that we are doing for a hand held vacuum cleaner, the modification is an retractable arm.I want to know how are hand held vacuum cleaners manufactured, (forging, extrusion, injection molding??) What would be the cost??Any help thanks
Look at the hand held vacuums they have in the store. If the housing is plastic, it is a 99.99% chance it is injection molded. If it is made of metal it could be extruded if it has a constant cross section along its length. Aluminum is a very common extrusion metal. I would doubt any high volume hand vac would have a forged housing, but I don't get out that much. Casting and machining is a possibility. As far as costs, it all depends on the life of the tool, and the number of cavities for a mold or a casting. If you mold/cast one part at a time it is much more expensive than two or four or eight. The more you mold at once, the bigger the molding/casting machine and the more expensive the mold/casting. So it depends on how many you want to make in a given amount of time, and how many through the life of the product. Finally, for your modification, do you have a design with drawings and a volume target? That is the first step to figuring out costs.
Q: my floor tool is broken and i want to buy a new one. can i just buy anything and will it fit universally ? i kno its an irrelevant category but most common people would know this yes or no answer to a common household appliance.. thanks
um yes
Q: thinking of buying an LG compressor vaccum cleaner, does anyone have reveiws of this product?
Vacuum cleaners are very cheap at the moment and L G have a very good name in lots of products. We have always stuck to Hoover and use one called The One,good for picking animal hairs up.
Q: I have a bag-less dyson vacuum cleaner, and it does a great job vacuuming. Thing is it's getting really dirty. I have asthma, so I really don't want to clean it myself, since there's all manner of dust and what not in it's hoses and other pieces. I empty it's quot;bagwhen I use it and I wash the filters from time to time, but that doesn't keep it from getting really dirty in other places. Are there businesses that clean vacuum cleaners? If so, where can I find them?
Follow the instructions for cleaning your bagless vacuum cleaner, including cleaning and washing the filters. Take the canister out, put it in a garbage bag and shake the dust out, directly into the bag. Wash the canister in warm, soapy water. You shouldn't get any dust in your lungs from doing that. The paper filter needs to be cleaned and washed more often than 'from time to time', and if you do that, your vacuum cleaner shouldn't get really dirty at all. There shouldn't be dust and what not in the vacuum hoses unless you don't clean it on a regular basis. If you have carpets, you need to change them for another type of flooring and that will help keep your vacuum clean.
Q: Besides the price, are their any major differences between the two vacuum cleaners?
Only difference I see is the Animal comes with dry powder and spot spray cleaners. The technical specs are the exact same. I'd say save the $50 and get the Full Kit.
Q: i cant decide from two vacum cleaners i need one that is not heavy. also easy enough to push it.The two of them are:Shark navigator 22and Dyson i think 33 please help me decide on a good vacuumthanks
I have the Dyson DC25 ball and I love it, highly recommend! It's pretty light and works like a charm!
Q: Do vacuum cleaners help clean cat hair?
yeah until it cloggs up on you lol... ive gone through 5 vacuums in the last two years... i recommend shark brand, so far its lasted a year... but nothing helps more then brushi g the cat, if your cat doesnt like to be brushed you can make a cat brushing station for your cat to brush its self... all you need are two baby bottle cleaners from a 1$store and a pice of wood for the base, make sure its heavy enough not to fall over, you can look it up in detail on youtube
Q: The spots look like black ink spots. They seem to be powdery because now they are all over my carpet. Is there an effective way to clean my carpet? Can steam vacuums help? Will I have to call professional cleaners to clean them? Any kinda help is appreciated! Thanks
oops could the powdery stuff come from the band on your vac.? If so the band or belt is broken........
Q: a two pack of the Roomba Vacuum cleaners. How much did they cost?
About $150. If you go to the look at comments section, someone always posts the price 'cause woot doesn't tell once the item is history. For previous days, go to the community and look for the iterm. There's a link to the comments with each item.
