We have had Dysons and just had one die on us. Does anyone have any feedback on these vacuums?: we have a Miele Blue Moon. We also had a very hairy dog. But we bought it because of allergies. it picks up and keeps dust mite droppings which no other vacuum does. but you have to change the HEPA once a year for it to do that. The bags and hepa are rather costly but we have had it 9 years and it works great. The only other tip I'd give is keep the height setting one setting higher if you find it is overheating when you vacuum. we have shag carpet so it was overheating the powerhead set at 1. We love it and it definitely works better than the less expensive models.

I am not going to wash them all because some were washed and others are not soiled.: Lavender is a much nicer scent--- and it will also ward off moths. Another thing to try is to use the new big Ziploc bags to store them in the Summer-- then you can minimize the damage by storing them separately....then hopefully not all sweaters will be damaged.

Mine does ok with the floors but the edge cleaner is bad.: I can tell you this I go thru vacs like water.the best on to get is the one with the highest amp but no matter which one you buy none of them will do what you want that's why the added a hose and attachment.it would have to have sum suction to do that and if it did you couldn't get it to move.so for what it is worth use the hose and the attachment
