Q: this is for a school project - i can't find the answer anywhere else. please help me
Home vacuum cleaners? Try different brands. Oreck, for instance. Just google their name. In fact, I think they still make their vacuum cleaners in the US. Most other brands probably manufacture in China although their corporate headquarters could be in the US. To find other names, just google something like vacuum cleaners buy You'll get a list of companies. Then google the companies' names to find their headquarters. Or go down to KMart etc. and look for the origin of manufacture on the machines. Look for the word China.
Q: is it elek trend or eurflow or dose any body know better
I don't know personally, but have seen them in homes. I'd not own one. I find them to be generally less efficient; but certainly I get it with regard to the premise.
Q: I just received my grandmas old old, quot; The Ultimate Kirby Diamond Edition vacuumand dont kow what to do with it.It has never been used even the cord has never been unwound. My dad says that it was once worth round 2000 but now is worthless. It also has a bunch of attachments..Any ideas on what to do with it???
I usually donate that kind of stuff to my local charity if it works at all or post it as the other writer said. Someone somewhere can use it as long as it works. Peter
Q: My Bissell finally died. I used to love Bissell but that was the worst vacuum I had ever bought. I am looking at canister vacuums now. I see the Kenmore has a high rating as well as the Electrolux and the Miele. I want something that will last and has low noise and cleans carpets wonderfully. Any knowledgeable vacuumers out there?
Hi, it depends on what sort of vacuum cleaner you like to use (Uprights, cylinder or even wet dry cleaners)? what sort of floor you have, carpet or hard floor? the cylinder's are better for hard floors the uprights are better for carpets.? We have been repairing vacuum cleaners of over 30 years now we think the best cylinder cleaners are miele very good suction also built very well for the uprights the sebo cleaners are very very good, quiet, reliable, good suction power robustly built. Both are not the cheapest cleaner on the market but you pay for what you get! both products are made in Germany, they do know how to make good products!
Q: I currently have a Bissell bagless. It just seems where I live (rural area) I am vacuuming 3-4 times a week and although I take the vacuum apart and clean regularly, it just doesn't seem to pick-up like I think it should. Anyone have an opinion on the Dyson vacuum cleaners? I am considering purchasing one and would like to know what you like or dislike about it. Thank you
I have a dc15 ball dyson. I love it it sucks up everything. it really works great. and with the lifetime filter i wash that about once a month. the cons.. I like using the floor attachment for the hose for hard floors than the head of the vacuum. but other than that I looooove it!!! plus i like the way it manuveurs easier than others. some say not having a light on this one makes it difficult to see in small places. I have not had that problem.
Q: I am wanting to buy one of those self-activated quot;robotvacuum cleaners. But I need one that will have good enough suction to vacuum up a LOT of dog hair. What is the best one?
Never happen the dirt cup is way too small. You have to do it the old fashion way or hire a made!
Q: I have noticed that some vacuum cleaners are rated in quot;Airwattsquot;. Now, if you multiply a volume flow rate by a pressure, you get units of kg.m2.s-3. Which are equivalent to Watts:Flow rate = m3.s-1Pressure = Pa = N/m2 = kg.m-1.s-2Product = kg.m2.s-3 = J.s-1 = W.So if you multiply the volume flow rate through a vacuum cleaner by the pressure change it creates, is that the rate at which work is being done to move air through the machine? Is this what quot;Airwattsmeans? And if you then divide this by the power being supplied to the motor, is this giving the efficiency of the machine?
I believe it is similar to mechanical horsepower, which takes into account both speed and torque. In the case of airwatts, it would be the available power to do work, taking into account both the pressure and volume of the airflow, outside of the vacuum motor's fan.
Q: Maybe a new brand of high powered vacuum cleaners? Or perhaps a solution to nuclear waste disposal?
Maybe mathematics could use it as the inverse of infinity. The could call it inanity.
Q: Is it just me or is anyone else afraid of vacuum cleaners?
*shudder* They are the anti-christ.
Q: I got this book on spiritual housecleaning and it says to remove any object that may be associated with the devil - and I have a dirt devil brand vacuum cleaner - is this evil and do I need to remove it from my home? The only thing I do with it is vacuum the floor - and I don't have any other use for it.
only if you frequently use the hose attachment
