- Q: I'm buying a New Forest on Thursday and have done some research but just want to see what your opinions are? Lady has a very thick coat on at the moment and for the time being, while I gradually get her back into work I won't clip her. Will she be ok in and out without a rug? What would you do in this situation? If and when I do clip her, what rug do you recommend? Just turn out or stable too and if so what thickness? Thanks in advance.
- Keep her the way she is for now until you start to do more than gentle hacking. But ask the previous owners about how much work she's been doing and whether they have clipped her in the past. I kept a NF unclipped throughout her life and always let her coat get reasonably thick before rugging her up for the rest of the winter. However, she was only ever in light work and did not sweat much. Cold is rarely a problem, only rain AND cold will bother her, so she will not need a very thick rug. I would say 9 or 12 rating is more than enough. I'm jealous - you're going to have SO MUCH FUN! :D
- Q: I had roofs leaks in my 2 bedrooms (hurricane related) and filed an insurance claim. they covered replacing the carpet in the 2 bedrooms but NOT replacing the hallway and stairs' carpet because that was not damaged. The carpet is 10+ years old so of course i am replacing it all. I think it should be consider all one item, they say that because there is a 'break' between the room and the hallway, their practice is to only replace the damaged carpet -- though this is not defined in the policy. The new carpet is totally diff color. Has anyone had any experience with this? I have total replacement cost and it is State farm.

- Q: I just looked at a fantastic apartment...but it has this horrible brown shag rug in the main room! It just looks way too retro and reminds me of my grandparent's basement rec. room. The landlord said the apartment could be painted (it would have to be painted back when we left) and right now the walls are all white. What can I do to bring this room into 2007? I was thinking of a nice brown accent wall, or even painting the window trim....any ideas are welcomed!
- the brown accent wall will draw attention to the rug and you dont want that so what i would do is get a huge square coffee table in maple wood or ash wood to lighten the room and colorful stuff on the walls to make the brown as diminished as possible. let it be the only brown thing in the room. just my 2 cents

Rarely were the rugs found on the floor - they were too expensive for that. 3) The more widely known reason for rugs, of course is a place to wipe your feet. It is seen as a welcoming into someones home. Blankets, as well can also be used as an accessory, when thrown over a chair, sofa, or end of a bed. - You generally get what you pay for of course. Look for wear and stain blocker warranties. Longer warranties is a better carpet. Don t buy the notion of the big brand stain blockers are better, They are all the same. You don t pay for the advertising dollars of the no name stain blocker. Thickness in carpet only counts in the amount of yarns per square inch . Thickness in tallness do not always make a better carpet. Its the twists per thread length that make the better carpet. The actual truth is the shorter, the tighter ( twists) the better the carpet.And if the twists are heat set in. Ask a salesperson about this. If they know or can look it up then talk more with them. - Q: The rug is to be 6'0 and roughly ?60 max. I've been looking at the Norti Nedi range and have come to a hard decision. do i get a fixed neck where it cannot be removed or do i get a neck attatchement??? but also will this rub at my horse's mane as this is the first time considering a neck??
- If you get a removeable neck it would be better because then you can remove it in warmer weather and put it back on when it gets colder.
- Q: I have a new rug, 6 months old at this point, that constantly sheds. There's 'rug dust' all over the house. It sticks to my daughters feet and even ends up in her diapers. Does anyone have suggestions on how to minimize this problem. We love the rug and do not want to get rid of it.
- I would take it to a rug cleaner and let them clean residual rug fuzzies out to their best ability. Some rugs will shed even after having this done, but this will eliminate a lot of the fuzzies. Vacuum frequently, daily for a while.
- Q: I much prefer modern rugs, but my husband disagrees. He says all elegant formal living rooms have oriental or indian rugs. The modern designs are for casual family rooms only. Help!
