- If they are fabric sofa set you can use a steam cleaner. As for the chemical to use I find Tide detergent mixed with hot water works great. For tough stains, the night before apply a stain remover and let it sit. The next day use steam cleaner w/laundry detergent mix. Wash once and vacuum water off twice.

He is stationed here and he has his own housing provided by the navy outside base. However, his sea duty would expire on August 2013. - Go to a hardware store or Menards, maybe a furniture store. I would try some round rubber little disks that the legs sit on/in. They should adhere to the carpet better, but you probably always will have a problem. Especiall if you PLOP on the couch rather than sitting down in a dignified, mannerly fashion. Like lowering yourself slowly and gently each time you sit.
