Q: I want to remove chair rail from my hall and reuse in a bathroom .Sugesstions welcome.: you can get chair rail for around a buck a foot - is it worth the trouble to remove it?

Q: So, I want a new chair mainly for gaming. I'm trying to narrow it down to two different types. Either a normal office chair (But an expensive one. The one I want is $229).. or a chair meant specifically for gaming (The X rocker Pro).. built in speakers and everything.I'm kind of leaning to the gaming chair, cause my current office chair is comfy until I try and play TV games. What do you think?: Both types of chair are better for different things. The office chair is better if you are sitting at a desk playing computer games but you cannot really lounge in front of a tv with it. The X rocker chair is more of a lounging play game for 8 hours straight chair but is too low for a computer desk and not comfortable in front of a monitor for long periods of time. The draw back to the x rocker pro is if you want to use the sound you have to have it plugged in and alot of people complain about wire management for it. Just figure out what you play more and get the chair. I use an office chair myself with a back that has a multi-tilter function so that I can adjust it depending on what I am doing.

Q: I'm considering purchasing one of these chairs. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.: I don't like those vibrating massage chairs. They just make my skin itch after sitting in them. I have an iJoy massaging chair and it's like the massage tables chiropractors have. There are these rollers in it that travel up and down the back of the chair. And, with different settings, you can get different massaging action with them. I think these are about $750 or so at Costco. But, if you're looking for a massage chair, they are definitely the way to go.

Q: So, a friend and I are in the middle of a pointless debate. Which would cause more damage, being hit by a chair or a human? We are assuming a human mass of about 77Kg and a chair mass of about 5kg. Both being swung at the the same velocity (about 20 m/s). I said the human because it has about 17 times more mass and momentum.Please set the record straight.: I assume you mean the chair is being swung by a human and the human's arm is swinging, not that a whole human is being swung? So it is a case of being hit by a human with a chair or by the human's fist? The chair would be swung more or less at arms length. Assuming the arm is turning at about the same rotational speed for either the fist or the chair, the end of the chair would actually be much further from the body than the fist at the end of the arm, so the bit of the chair which makes impact would actually be traveling much faster than the fist. You can't simply compare the mass of the human with that of the chair because the mass of the chair is increased by the human who is attached to it and swinging it. Effectively the person and chair become a single bludgeoning unit unless the person lets go of the chair. Given that the total mass is similar but the chair will have greater impact because the bit of the chair farthest from the person swinging it will be moving at a greater speed, the chair will do more damage. Add in to the equation the fact that a person punching will be more likely to pull back from a full impact because of the pain involved in the fist when it hits its mark - but the chair feeds back no pain to the assailant so it can be followed through at full impact. Finally, if the chair hits at one of the padded parts then the blow will be significantly cushioned, but if it is a wooden bit that hits, that will be harder than flesh-covered bone.

Q: Im thinking of getting the rainforest high chair.. what high chair do you use and why?: chicco candy; not as ugly as pics, but easy to operate and clean and folds down very slim...

Q: Have you used one of those reclining booster feeding chairs rather then a regular high chair? Any recommendations? Do you wish you would have bought a regular high chair instead? Is it okay for my 4 month old?: We have a recling one that straps onto a normal kitchen chair. My 2 month old sits in it all the time but not to eat. I put it in the kitchen when I'm doing dishes or cooking. He LOVES sitting there and it's great because he can still see me and I talk or sing to him while I get stuff done. Plus it gives him something to do other than sit in his swings or bouncy seat. I don't recommend putting a baby that young in there to eat though. Babies that little shouldn't be eating solids. But I really do love the seat to just let him sit in. I'd most definitely suggest it to anyone. The one we have was only 30$ I believe at Target. So it was much cheaper than most highchairs and again, it's nice for him to sit in for a change of scenery. It also takes up waaaay less space because it's on a chair not free standing.
