- There are several factors to consider. The weight of the chair + the object on the chair divided by the number of legs the chair has. The angle of legs will not matter. What matters is the placement of the object on the chair. Unless specified, You assume the object on the chair is center. But if calculating for a person setting on the chair you may have variables on placement of weight ratios front to rear. This is usually compensated for(on average) by the rear legs being angled back to push the center of mass forward seeking a balance so all of the legs support the same (approximate) weight. I hope you found this helpful. P.S. If you have access to several matching scales you can place a chair with each leg on different scales. Have a person sit in the chair and observe each scale. Next use something else like a stack of books and place them on different areas of the chair to see what happens.

- If you don't have clients, it is not a good idea to rent a chair. You should work at a salon where you are paid hourly. Most will do this until you have acquired some clients and then you can switch to renting a chair. When you do rent a chair, just remember you are completely responsible for everything- the products, insurance, probably the use of the reception. Good luck.

- Q: My baby is a great little sitter. She sits with no hands and everything and sits in her high chair at home... We've just never tried it at a restaurant. If she can sit on her own and all, does that mean she is ready for the restaurant high chairs? (I know it seems dumb, but they have lower backs than our high chair at home and occassionally when we're holding her she'll arch her back really far and really fast.)
- Lukas sat from 4 months and was fine in his highchair at home, however when we started solids (around 5 months) and I tried to sit him in a highchair in a restaurant he slouched around. I think if the baby thinks they can lean on something, they will! Unfortunately, most highchairs I've seen out and about don't offer much support and only now (at 6 months) are they remotely usable! Just use your judgement... some may be fine, but don't count on it!
