- Q:Hi everyone!At my school weight room we only have a mechanical? Bench press. Like one which is a bar attached to a pulley that lifts up weights. So basically a bar you push up with adjustable weight and no free movement. Anyone tell me what it's called? Before anyone goes into saying It's far better to use an actual bar I'm just trying to make do with what I got. So basically On this thing I can push 100lbs once (13 years old) so I wanted to know what the best weight and how many reps/sets of what weight I should do for best results. I would also like to know proper technique so if someone could link me to a site or tell me that'd be great. I would also like to know best exercises to supplement my bench press. - As important as it gets. In the 15thC a chap called Wycliffe translated the Bible into English, only a handful of copies were in circulation because they all had to be hand written. It influenced a small band of followers (Lollards) but nothing really significant happened. When Caxton set up his press in Westminster, he was printing books by the hundred. William Tyndale again translated the Bible into English and had it printed in Antwerp, and imported into England but unlike Wycliffe he had hundreds of copies spread throughout the country. The authorities wanted it banned and tried to do so but second and third printings some in London, made it into a best seller. Tydale was executed for his troubles but his translation just kept selling. Eventually helping to lead to the reformation of the church. Something the Lollards a century earlier had wanted but been unable to get. Also because they were so cheap in comparison with hand written manuscripts they disseminated knowledge over a wider area quicker. More people learnt to read, because there were more schools. There were more schools because more people wanted to learn, and books were cheap enough for them to do so. Less ignorance led to a better life the speed of change quickened. I am not aware of any down sides, for civilisation the authorities didn't always like a free press, but in the long term it was only good that came out of printing.

- Yes you can build muscle with just a bench press but I would not recommend only doing the bench press. If you are planning on doing bench press make sure you moderate on days so you can relax your muscles, and new tissue can be built. Try to keep bench press to 2 - 3 days a week max. I highly recommend doing push-ups and sit-ups. They build your body, and even if you can't do many just start out slow. Then add more push-ups and sit-ups to your routine. If your nervous about going to the gym you could also just do the push-ups and sit-ups at your house.

- When you sign a warrant against someone for assault press charges a police report explaining the circumstances of your complaint is forwarded to the District Attorneys Office. You should have already provided a sworn statement relating the events as they occurred. Once you sign the warrant the police will attempt to locate and arrest your assailant. After their arrest a court date is provided where the suspect will be told what the charges are against them. It will also be determined if they are represented by an attorney or if they wish to plea prior to a trial. If a plea is submitted, the court will sentence the suspect. If no plea is submitted, the trial date will be scheduled and the judge or jury will determine if the suspect is guilty or not at that trial. Then the suspect will be sentenced.
