Q: I have a power adapter that goes to a mixer (Denon DN-MC6000) and reads: INPUT 100-240V ~ 50/60Hz 1.5A, OUTPUT: 12V - 3A. Now I know this is the right adapter but I don't know if I have the right cable that goes from the adapter to the wall. I have one that says 6A 250V~ but I dunno if its the right one. I have a few others but can someone tell me what will be the right one so I don't blow up my mixer :P thanks
Hi, The adapter to the tip is the important part. Whatever fits from the adapter to the wall doesn't have much to do with anything. Anything that fits the adapter, physically.
Q: Hey guysWhen I put in my power cable, I can turn on my laptop, but as soon as I take it off, it shuts off. Why isn't it charging it ?Thanks alot in advance
Your battery may not be any good anymore. You may need to get a new battery.
Q: can we use welding cable to hook up amp in our car?rated 200amp
There is no need for a 200 amp cable. most of the time 75 to 100 amps is more than enough. Just go to the local car audio store and pick up a amp kit. (Depending on amp size depends on price) The local Wal-Mart sales them as well. You'll spend between $25-$100 for a good amp kit. Amp Kit 1 power wire 1 ground wire 1 set of RCA for audio from sterio to amp 1 fuse.
Q: I have been doing research online and have found replacement power cables from Kimber, Nordost, PS Audio, Cardas, Monster and Audioquest. While Kimber did win an award in Audiophile magazine, the write up for PS Audio's SC statement cable appears to be very good as well. Nordost makes a great product too, but have read some complaints that it actually cheats the bass. So I am basically looking to see if anyone owns any of the replacement cables from these companies or what they could recommend as a good replacement power cord.
For many years there has been a debate within the audiophile community whether power cables influenced the sound of components. Someone finally performed a double-blind study. The only reasonable solution for such a debate. A power cord made no discernable difference in sound. Choose your power cord replacement on appearance (It’s nothing more than decoration.) I have some purty Audioquest interconnects and speaker cables.
Q: My hard drive uses 15-pin SATA power connectorMY new power supply doesn't have this cable but instead it has 4 pin molex connector for the hard drive15-pin SATA power connector has 5 wires with these colors and order (white-black-red-black-orange)4 pin molex colors are (red-black-black-yellow)I want to use 15-pin 'connection head' from the broken power supply but as I said it has 5 wires while my new power supply gives me 4 wires!!!!! how to connect 4 wires to five wires head??? one wire has to be canceled i guess but which one?
as quickly as upon a time, whilst i grow to be going to be on your continent for a jointly as, i offered an inverter that would enable me to run my workstation from a 12 volt motor vehicle battery. As I remember I had it set up so as that the inverter grow to be plugged in, charging the battery, and the workstation grow to be plugged into the inverter working off the mains - till the flexibility died - an unfancy ups, or possibly a actuality in merchandising ups? besides see what you will discover for installation one in each of those rig - it may remedy your problem, or it may be yet another waste of money. i'm able to assure you, i did not spend everywhere close to US$500 on the full undertaking.
Q: I am trying to run the power cable leading to the amplifier in my car but can not seem to find a hole or firewall to pass the wire through. My car is a 91 Toyota Tercel. Please and Thank you
The Tercel will have a couple of un-used holes that are covered with black solid rubber grommets. You can poke a hole through one with a pen or screw driver and just push the wire through. You should find these holes one the left and right symmetrically, and they will be near half way down, but closer to the top than bottom. If you can't see them, maybe you can feel for them.
Q: My mother has moved to Australia, taking her Fujitsu Siemens (Amilo model) laptop with her. Very shortly after, her power cable stopped functioning, and she would like a new one. Unfortunately, she is not tech-savvy at all and doesn't seem to be able to find the thing online, and I being from Europe, have trouble searching in her stead. I don't even know what an Australian plug looks like and I have no clue regarding the currency...All and any help is much appreciated.
This okorder Although that's some store from U.S, maybe you can try search it from OKorder or OKorder. Wish the Best
Q: trying to install new amplifier; running cable from battery through firewall to the trunk; done on several cars before; looking for advice or best practices...
in addition to what ed said. if you drill through a firewall or bulkhead install a grommet or use a piece of rubber tubing [hose] to protect the wire. also make sure that where you drill, nothing is behind it. ruining your evaporator or heater core normally means that the dash will have to come out for repairs on most cars ,nothing cheap here.and pinching cable around a hinge or other movable part is begging for a fire. i see this sort of crap all the time and i wonder how these owners get up and down the road without hurting someone or themselves. take your time and don't cheap the job out, most cases another twenty minutes and 5.00 dollars of parts would have resulted in a solid installation instead of a burned out hulk.
Q: I want to know if the dell vostro 260 has it
No, lower wattage PSU (typically less than 400 watts) generally do not ace PCI-E power cables as PSU's with that low a wattage typically aren't used in gaming PCs. The Vostro 260 came with a 300 watt PSU and almost certainly does not have a PCI-E power cable. Contrary to what Peter suggests. That computer does have a PCI-E slot. If you have a the mini-tower case you can fit a full sized discrete video card. If you have the SFF case then you're limited to low profile cards, and the PSU is a non-standard sized 250 watt unit. You're probably going to have to upgrade the PSU if you want to get new video card. Also, at best this computer has a Sandy Bridge i5 CPU, with the Pentium and i3 being more common. If you have the Pentium or i3 CPU, then you're only going to want mid-range or cheaper video card, as anything faster than say a GTX 1050 / GTX 960 or Radeon RX 470 or R9 380 will be bottlenecked by the older CPU.
Q: I want to order a small 100 watt amp and needed to know if it can get powered by the head unit by connecting it with the rca cables.. thanks..
The RCA cables do not supply power to the amplifier; they just carry the audio signal from the head unit to the amp. Your amplifier, regardless of its power rating, will need power and ground connections in addition to the RCA and remote outputs from the head unit.
