I've looked around town, and I can't find any inexpensive area rugs, all of them are $150+. I know there's a lot of good deals online but I can never seem to find them. I am going to clean the carpet now, and here is my plan. I am going to get - 1 Rental Bissell Big Green Deep Cleaner- 1 Bissell Spotbot- 1 box of Borax- 1 box of OxycleanWhat should I use as the carpet cleaning solution? Have any pretreat recommendations? Have any suggestions?: When you rent the carpet cleaner, there will be cleaning solutions there that you can buy. Use the Oxyclean to pretreat, but do not put it or the Borax in the carpet cleaner machine. They will ruin the machine and then you will have to pay for it or for repairs. Use only the cleaning solutions that are recommended. Ask the person who is renting the machine to you. They know what cleaner to use for what stains. If you have not cleaned your carpet for over 3 years, you may have to do some heavy traffic areas 2 or 3 times to get all the dirt out. But it's worth it, as you will see. I would pretreat the blood stains with the Oxyclean, as directed on the box/canister. Good Luck!

Q: Just on average, generally speaking, how much does carpet cost to floor a 15 x 15 room including installation?: Basic carpet can be installed with a pad for around 3$ a s/f .(+-) It can be higher or lower with the quality of the carpet and pad. This based on you getting a 15' wide carpet (thus no seams) for 225 s/f. Thats 675 $ for carpet pad and labor. This generally won t include rip out of whats there now, floor prep ( if needed) , furniture moving and disposal. Remember this can vary with quality of pad and carpet.
