Q: we moved into a new house...the carpet is really very very messy..my apartment guys refused to change the carpet....looks like it has not been cleaned for months...they are number of stains on the carpet(very old ones).....i have new bisell carpet cleaner...but it is of no use.....i hate to see my carpet like this...is it possible to make it look like a new one....plzzzzz help
If it is white you could try to bleach it, or if it's colored you could try to use a bleach for colors. If all else fails you could always cover it with an area rug (a really big one or several).
Q: I am trying to find some used carpet for sale or for free to put in my garage any suggestions on where I coulda buy some or find some for free I live in the high desert in California
Try a habitat for humanity restore. You probably have one around there or ask somebody who's doing a reno on their house. You never know.
Q: Carpeting a 1400 sq. ft. office. Price is an issue. I would like to lay them directly on plywood floor (no 1/4quot; underlyment). Will plywood seams show through? Should I even consider laying them without gluing down? Any experience good/bad? And suggested source? I see them on internet for $.66 sq foot for excess inventory. Thanks!
you can lay carpet tile onto plywood and yes you should definitely glue them down. without glue the tiles will be all over the place. here is a tip. when you lay the tiles down rotate every other tile 1/4 turn so that it makes like a checkerboard pattern. you will have a much better cover and it will hide any imperfections in the carpet tiles.
Q: so i had my friend stay the night.. and like we were all talkin about guys n stuff n i was talking to her about my boyfriend . and so shes like im a carpet mucher., im like hahahahaha . i pretended to kno wat it is! she lafed. hah someone!!! tell me ! plz. i mean what the hek. does she mean carpet musher or wat. weird. lol oooh and she winked at me . hahah
The term carpet muncher usually refers either to a baby who can't crawl very well yet (and has it's face in the carpet a lot as a result) or someone who likes performing cunnilingus...the word carpet referring to female pubic hair and munching referring of course to the eat me slang for cunnilingus.
Q: Can I carpet in the kitchen?
Sure。 In the kitchen, with carpet can play a protective role, whether it is the existence of kitchen carpet accident on the low temperature condition or outside have very good protection, such as the use of ceramic bowls and other items in the kitchen, careful not to be dropped on the floor, there may be broken, and if the carpet laying on the ground, it can reduce a lot of trouble. Carpet laying in the kitchen will also have a good decorative effect, will not make the floor looks cold.
Q: Carpet has rich patterns, gorgeous colors and diversified shapes, which can beautify your decorative environment and reflect your personality. According to the usage, carpets are divided into commercial carpets and artistic carpets.
Art carpet is a carpet for the purpose of appreciation and decoration. It is mainly hung on the wall of the room, also known as tapestry. It is generally made by hand. Excellent artistic carpets are generally carefully designed by artists and carefully compiled by producers. They have artistic appreciation and ideological connotation that ordinary commercial carpets do not have, and have high artistic value and collection value.
Q: I have a long bit of carpet, like a rug i spose but its filthy and i want to put in in my room.. do u think its safe to just throw it in the washing machine to clean??
You can still wash it. Make sure you hang it out to dry though. If you're worried about it not being so waterproof after just get a can of that spray on stuff for shoes and it should do the trick. You should re-waterproof rugs at the start or end of each season.
Q: I want to clean our carpets, but I have a 10 month old who is crawling everywhere and I don't want to use a harsh chemical cleaner. I have a Bissell Carpet Cleaner. Any suggestions on what I can put in it to clean the carpets that won't ruin the machine, but is baby friendly? Thanks
You could simply use white vinegar in place of carpet shampoo. Your house will smell like salad for a little while but the smell will dissipate. For tough set in stains, spray lemon juice on them, wait about 10 minutes, then use your Bissel to remove the stain. Here's a cleaning tip I use: After cleaning your carpets, wipe the whole area with an old towel or baby blanket. It only takes a few minutes and will greatly speed the drying time and remove any dirt that was not sucked up by your Bissell.
Q: Does anyone know the daily care of horse rugs? Like what to check for. Thanks..x
Tears, broken straps, leaks if turnout rug. Rug is on horse straight, horses love to roll. Horse isn't too hot or too cold.
