- Depends on the chair. Most chairs turn out to not be so great. But a kitchen chair is good for the woman straddled on top, and any chair can be good for doggie-style for the woman to prop up on. Otherwise, chairs are overrated.

- Q: I was thinking of how I might make affordable wedding chair covers for my wedding, but I have found that polyester is very expensive by the yard. I was thinking of making them with cotton and then making the same cover in tulle to fit over the cotton. That would make it to layers of material over the chair. Does that sound totally ridiculous?
- I think you're underestimating the intensity and stress of a project like this. If you really want chair covers, I'd say buy/rent them and keep your sanity.

- Keep it! We are trying to GET a wheel chair accessible cabin! Twice as big!!! You can probably change it if you want but seriously don't.
- Q: I have two lounge chairs i just bought and they are starting to rust. What can I put on them to make it stop?
- How about a thick piece of glass for the table top (e.g. 1/4) -- something rated for outdoor use? We have a wrought iron table with a glass top; it's round and and we leave it outside and uncovered from spring until late fall. Wipe with a paper towel and window cleaner before use and it's good to go. That same piece of glass has been around for some 40 years -- it's got some fine scratches but that's the only sign of wear. As for the paint we got good results with Benjamin Moore enamel for metal surfaces. The previous responder is right about the preparation and priming, etc.

- Q: The lady who owns the venue we chose is something else, let me tell you...I wish now I'd have gone somewhere else, but we just couldn't afford more! So she won't have the chairs arranged in rows for the ceremony (we're having it indoors because it's FALL) and so we're forced to have guests sit at their tables.How can I make this look better??
- I would try to dress up the backs of the chairs so they look more formal. This is easy to do! if you can get chair covers, thats great. Either way, tie about 3 yards of your choice of fabric, tie and pin a couple flowers to the back that coordinate with everything else. This will help make it look like this is exactly how you WANTED it to be.
- Q: Do you have to set them up and break them down or does the renting fee include this?We're having our ceremony held outside, and the place we are having it is costing us $6/chair and they are just conference chairs with white covers. We saw the nice, white ceremony chairs at a rental place for $2.75. That will cut our ceremony fee in half, which is great!! Especially with having better looking chairs. I just am unsure if they normally set them up (the rental company) or if we have to do this ourselves.Thanks :)
- The simple thing here is to ask who sets up the chairs. That way you'll know for sure. If the venue is charging you for the chairs, that includes the set up, of course. I doubt very much that you would be allowed to bring chairs in from the outside. You can ask, but keep in mind that these reception venues make their money on these rentals and services. If you are allowed to bring your own chairs, ask the rental company if the cost includes set up (I doubt that it does). Still though, if you are allowed to order your own chairs, you might ask a couple of friends to be in charge of the project to avoid the set up fees.
