- The times I have seen it explained it is usually done with a fork lift behind the curtain and a iron bar from under the chair to the fork lift. I don't think it would be easy to do at home. It would require a great deal of force at odd angles to make it look magical.

Then distribute the weight to the legs on each side of the plane. Example: You are sitting in the chair. You mass is 100 kg (weight: 980 N). The chair has a weight of 20 N. Total Load is 1000 N. The plane splits your body in half (the left half of your body is on the left half of the chair). You solve the moments about the center of gravity for the rear legs and find the rear legs support 750 N ==== Each rear leg supports 750/2 = 375 N This means each front leg supports (1000 - 750)/2 = 125 N
- Q: I fell in love with a dining set I saw on Macy's website but it's a bit out of my reach. It has four different colored parson chairs: beige, deep orange, burnt and moss with a round glass table. I have been searching online to find these colors but I can't. It would be great if I could find these colors in parson chairs and then I could go look for a glass table anywhere else. - Q: These are from Germany. They are like a Spongy Foam material but the previous owners cats tore into them so they have these marks across them. It reminds me of when you take your nail and run it over a Styrofoam cup. I love the shape and modernness but I need a color change (4 dark blue, 2 yellow)! I have priced new chairs and its just not doable for what I desire. I have No clue what would be under the sponge as I would have to basically gut one and then Im lost on how to fix the mess I made! Some ideas on what I can use and how to go about doing so. Im scared it will just soak it in.
- Try painting a little part in a place that is unseen, just 1cm2 in the under part of the chair - best the under part of the chair leg - the one that stands on the ground (I understood that they are entirely made from the same material, sorry if I misunderstood). That way you'll find out if the paint will soak in or stay. If it doesn't work, you can always make some covers yourself (since standard ones don't fit the shape of your chairs). The possibilities are limitless - from patchwork, to knitting them from various materials (think plastic bags, you can get very interesting results with that, not to mention it's good for the environment not to throw the bags away but reuse them creatively) to sewing them according to you own design. LIke I said - limitless possibilities.

- What about getting a kiddie size table chair? It might be a little more diffcult for you but if you can take the hassle out of meal-time then it's probably worth it? It sounds like for some reason he is associating the chair or table or something with bad feelings and the last thing you want is for that to end up being a bad association with food itself! If you could get the fun back into mealtime maybe you could then re-introduce the 'big' table as something exciting and what big boys do kinda thing. Maybe lunch at the little table dinner with mum dad? Or let him pick his own fun plate cutlery or something?

- They're for your balcony, you don't have to look at them 'round the clock. I think putting some cushions on them and a coordinating flower pot or two would look nice on your balcony. You should appreciate them for the time and effort Grandpa put into them. I have a three-legged table that my Grandpa made a long time ago. - Time outs are used frequently and are probably the easiest way to solve the problem. I agree with Lily that the first step might be to separate students who can't leave each other alone, but if that fails the quiet chair is a good option. The child can still observe the lesson but can't really bother anyone else. I think the VERY first step should be a seating chart. You should know by now which pairs or small groups don't work well, and make sure that they don't get the chance to act out. Sitting with friends is a privilege that has to be earned in my classes.

- Interesting question...let's see if I can be of any help. The way I see it, you have roughly two choices here (3 actually, but I'll save it for last.) 1) You can take the chair apart to get to the speaker, take it out and either replace it with a similar one (like a car subwoofer speaker - check the Ohm rating) or get the broken one fixed. 2) You could bypass the subwoofer altogether - but you'd have to find the wires to it and carefully disconnect them without shorting them. Then go and buy another inexpensive subwoofer, hook it up directly to your receiver (assuming that you had a receiver driving the chair system) - making sure to place the sub right next to (or under) the chair - to get a similar butt massage effect from the bass. or 3) toss the whole mess out. graduate and get a real speaker/subwoofer set up instead. Hope this kind of helps. I was serious with the first two ideas, the thrid was admittedly a wee bit glib. Please forgive me.
