Q: We want carpet installed in three bedrooms. I know they have the $139 special for installation, but how much extra is old carpet removal, haul away and to move the furniture out and then back in the rooms? Thanks!
Don't look here and there, just visit a Carpet wow plumbing, They provide low cost carpet installation and quick services.
Q: I found a bath rug that is the perfect color for my kitchen but I don't know if it matters that it is a bath rug or not. What is the difference? And would it matter if it was in the kitchen?
I would say there should be no difference, just make sure you can wash it as accidents can happen in the kitchen.
Q: Me couple of friends are looking to get carpet to do up a quot;cubby housequot;. Crap carpet seems to be 90 to 100 dollars per broadloom metre new. Obviously it does not have to very good quality. Is there any wayyy cheaper solution to this? (South of Perth, Western Australia)
Go for it, It sounds fab... :)
Q: What color carpet can match with fushia sofa
Rose red carpet,
Q: ok i got a new throw rug about a month ago and all of a sudden today my cat pissed on. Hes old.the cat it i think he did i for the last week because it was damp but i saw him i know how 2 get rid of the smell but how do i break him of it? and why does he do it?! P.S the carpet does not smell like that new smell
TAKE HIM TO A VET ASAP -- it could be a urinary blockage (or a urinary tract infection on its way to causing a blockage) and if if is, it can kill him VERY QUICKLY!!! If it turns out to NOT be that, at least you know for sure and can move on to the other possibilities! You say he's old, so it could just be the incontinence of old age. If there's something new going on at the house: new people/children, new pets, new furniture, used furniture that may have another animals scent on it, new room arrangements, etc., in the house that occurred around the time that you suspect he started doing this, then it could be that he's off-center and confused and emotionally distressed. Have you changed to a different litter or a different food. A different litter could upset his nose. A new food could upset his digestive system. BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY. Would you be pissed off at a sick friend or relative because they pissed on your new rug?? NO!! You'd be upset about the situation, yes!!...BUT you'd do whatever you could to help that family member or friend!!! So, HELP YOUR CAT!!! HE'S A FAMILY MEMBER!!! Okay, sorry if it looks like I'm shouting, but, I'm not...caps are the only way I know to direct attention to important comments in the absence of being able to use bold and italics. As for the rug, you will need to clean it REALLY well to remove the odor of his urine, or he will return to that spot, even if he's totally well! I have included one or more links below to help you with that! There are some enzyme odor removers, as well, so I have included a link to a webpage that rates several. Just remember, your cat isn't scheming to piss you off. He's either sick or troubled, or simply having problems due to his old age. Best of luck and God bless! Lee
Q: Our house is currently covered in carpet. We have a dog who sheds and has occasional accidents in the carpet. I'm debating whether or not to switch to hardwood floors. I would like to to the floating because of cost. Does anyone have advice? Should I stick it out with carpet? Is wood that much easier?
We had an English Bulldog that shed. Shows up good on carpet. We installed a hardwood floor by ourselves and it was easier to clean. Couple of things to consider. A large dog will have a tendancy to scratch the surface after a while of the wood floor. Especially a cheap wood floor. Things like the fake wood with plastic on top last a couple of years. Also, older heavier dogs tend to slip and have trouble standing on the slick hardwood.
Q: My cat has a bad hairball problem, and whenever the seasons change she'll have barfing episodes almost every day for weeks. Okay here's the part that really boggles my mind:Our house is all hardwood floor, with linoleum in the kitchen and the bathrooms. We have a few throw rugs here and there. Now, out of all the places to puke, she ALWAYS chooses to puke on one of the various throw rugs in the house. One time I saw her retching and I picked her up and put her on the linoleum and she ran back to the throw rug and hurled, refusing to barf on bare floor. I really wish she would barf on the hardwood or the linoleum because then I could just quickly wipe it up instead of having to pre-treat and wash the rugs all the time. Does anyone know why cats prefer puking on carpet vs. bare floor surfaces?
heaving is extremely uncomfortable and the hard floor yields no comfort but the rug does. They can dig their claws in while the wretch and there is not likely to be a splash back. Gross I know but true.
Q: I have a dark tan/light brown carpet. I dropped some black eyeshadow and it got kicked about and now it's in the carpet. I really really need to clean it because I move out soon and don't want to have to pay for a whole entire cleaning. Anyone have any remedies to help? I want to get it out but need to make sure not to accidentally bleach the carpet. Thank you!
The hardware store will carry a product called Goof Off which will remove almost anything from carpeting without ruining it. It comes in spray bottles and liquid--vaccuum up as much as you can, really well, then sponge it onto the stains and wash afterwards with soap and water. That stuff will come right out. Then vaccuum it thoroughly again to remove any soap residue. This stuff even removed nail polish from my carpeting and you couldn't tell it was ever there.
Q: Baby had a ball with foundation in bathroom. Cleaned everything but the rug. It's vanilla-colored, and is 100% cotton. Any hope?
I am assuming this is just a bathroom throwrug, so there shouldn't be any reason why you couldn't just throw it in the washer. I would also think if you use the makeup remover cloths (like you use on your face) before washing, that should loosen up and dissolve it so it will rinse out in the wash. It is gently enough to use on your face- so it should be gentle enough for your rug. A laundry pretreatment like Oxi-clean, and regular detergeant with a non-chlorine bleach should get the rest out. The big worry with 100% cotton is if it will shrink in the dryer- but I've not had a bathroom rug do that if I used low heat until it was just damp dry, and then hung it to air dry completely. Look at the back and see if there is a care tag to say if it can be dried or not. If all else fails, and you are left with a few spots stained, maybe you could consider doing a dye job, a shade darker- to cover. Good luck with the cleaning. I have six kids, and long ago gave up on white and beige anything for just this reason!
Q: I have an ugly pink-tan carpet that has to go. Underneath the carpet is wood. But the wood is a bit rough and doesn't have any color to it. How do i remove my carpet and fix up the wood floor underneath?
How is the carpet attached to the floor; is it glued down, tacked at the edges, stapled, etc.?
