- Depends on the type of carpet your purchasing. Regular residential carpet such as you textures and plushes, the thickest carpet makers allow you to go is 7/16. The pad poundage is one of the most important things. They warranty no carpet under a 5 1/2# pad. Firmer is better such as a 6/8 or 10# pad for standard carpet. Walk on each density in stocking feet under the carpetr sample of the carpet you choose. There are different types of pad. There is the standard rebond made up of bits and pcs of foam. Usually this come from auto seat cushions ( scrap) and some times other places. This pad is just ok and will work. But every so often ( and its rare) you ll get a hard chunk of padding. Manufacturers will not warrenty any carpet put on anything thicker than 7/16 and rated less than 5 1/2#. Then you have a pad made specifically for carpet. No lumps or pcs. Good stuff. Then you can get some made that water will not penatrate it. Usually called pet or kid proof pad, or a similar name.Must be specially installed. Then there is rubber pad, some times guarenteed for the life of your house. Expensive and can be stiff since this is usually in the 20 # range. Berbers and commercial grade type of carpet is basically the same types of pad but the thickest you can go is 3/8 and a minimum or 8# density. All these pads are rated so that the backing material on the carpet doesn t break dont prematurely. So padding does matter and makes a differance. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. - Ok you will need a turnout rug, and and a cooler and i would advise an under-rug. A turnout rug is a winter coat for horses, it needs to be strong, waterproof and warm. You can buy different denier which is the toughness of the outer waterproof layer and you can buy different fillings of rug which will determine how warm it is. Depending on where you live ,whether or not you clip your horse, and your horse breed/type you will need a different kind of filling but i would always go for a high denier 800D + this will make your rug last longer. Rambo,Shires, horseware and wheaterbeta are all good brands. And unless on sale i wouldnt expect to pay less than ?100 for a good rug. Coolers are used to wick the sweat away from a horses skin after a hard work-out, as well as wick the water away from the skin and coat after bathing. This is especially useful in cooler areas where having a wet horse would be uncomfortable or dangerous. they stop horse becoming ill by getting a chill etc Any of the above brand would be good for a cooler and should 20-30?

- If you know where the carpet came from, you can contact the retailer. If not, I would try looking in a closet to see if the carpet is the same. You could remove the carpet from the closet and use that for patches. Put a new piece of carpet in the closet. Another alternative. Since it is near the door, could you cut out a large section of carpet and replace it with tile or linoleum or similar flooring material to make an entry area? You might have a carpeter restretch the carpet and see if you can gain enough carpet to cover the area. This might work if the carpet is a few years old. Contact a carpenter to see what they think.

- I love it! You have great taste. I'd go will some soft silk drapes that gently flow and maybe puddle on the floor in a cream, gray or tan, with a contrasting colored tassel to hold them back. If you want a printed drape, I'd still go silk and stick with a contemporary pattern. Rug options are limitless. When shopping for a rug, try to pull out a color in your other items. I find it is striking to have that be a small almost unnoticeable color in the rug, but it will pop because it is in another item. For example a printed rug that is predominantly brown, but has little hints of purple in it. Alone you might not notice the purple in the rug, but the pillows make it pop out. I'd go with abstract art given the contemporary nature of the couch... maybe a canvas giclee.
