- Spruce the room up by adding some bright colors to the rug and curtains (blues, greens, etc) since the walls are white. The carpet should be kept light, since the furniture is dark. A room should always have a nice balance to it. Hope this helps and good luck =)

- I have removed numerous RED kool-aid stains and nail polish residual red stain from carpet WITHOUT removing the carpet color.. RUN RUN as fast as you can to your nearest dollar store buy a bottle of the cleaner called AWESOME it REALLY REALLY is AWESOME just spray spray spray wipe wipe wipe all gone stain....DO NOT DILUTE like the bottle says. P.S this will also get KOOL-AId stains from your counter

- critically this works, even for stains like set in black hair dye that dried. get a can of hairspray (garnier fructis is what i take advantage of, I do not understand how good different manufacturers paintings) and spray a load of it correct into the stain till it is soaking wet. allow that soak in for a minute after which placed a fabric or rag on most sensible of the rainy spot and press fairly rough, do not scrub although, simply practice consistent strain. you can also need to do that again and again, however you're going to see the colour raise correct out of the carpet, particularly in the event you use a white rag you'll be able to fairly see the colour lifting. well success :)
- Q: I was planning to wash my carpet(with my carpet washer) and there were some really tough stains in it. So I put some bleach with the pre-wash solution and I sprayed it onto the stains. After I washed it, I noticed white stains on my carpet (my carpet is light tan). I know that I have removed the color completely, but can I re-dye it with tea? If I can't please offer suggestions.

- You might consider calling your landlord and complaining see if they can send a pro out. Its not your mess and its not something you should have to deal with. If that is not an option I would rent a steam cleaner, just scrubbing will make it soak into the pad and spread but a steam cleaner will suck it out. I think it was bissell (bought mine at target) makes a pet odor remover rug cleaner for steam cleaners, it does help a lot. Before steam cleaning you can pour some pet enzyme cleaner on the area, one I used was called Petzyme and can be found at pet stores. If its really bad though, not a small area but a large area that appears to have been urinated on multiple times its most likely going to need to get replaced. That again wwould be your landlords responsibility, they should not rent out a house with unsanitary conditions.

- Q: So my carpet (40 year's of age) was torn out my bedroom this morning.And what do ya knw!! there was a beatiful hardwood floor underneath. I saw all the stains/mold on the carpet and whatnot.Before I had trobule breathing and would wake up with a headace every morning becuase of the smell. However, I can notice a slight difference in smell but not a drastic Now, I can't decide if I should get a new carpet or just live with the hardwood floor that's already there. . I still have to sweep the dust and mop. Getting a brand new carpet is expensive. But with a hardwood floor in the winter it can be a little uncomterable. Any idea's??
- How about sanding and varnishing the floorboards? It can look so lovely, but it is a chore to do. Hire a sander and maybe sleep in the living room while the varnish dries. Put down a few rugs to keep it warm?
