- Q: What type of needle roller bearings is 62 (extra) *30 (inside) *28 (high)?! Thank you
- Needle roller bearings are cylindrical roller bearings, the roller is slender, the cross-section is smaller, and the bearing capacity of the load is higher, so it is suitable for radial installation size limited supporting effect. Needle roller bearings are equipped with a thin and long roller (roller length is 3~10 times the diameter, generally less than 5mm diameter), radial structure is compact.A complete bearing code is composed of the basic code number plus one or more supplementary codes. All standard bearing SKF have certain basic types, there are usually three, four or five numbers, or letters and numbers, the first number or the first letters said bearing type, followed by two digits identifies the size of ISO series.Because the model of needle roller bearings is relatively complex, only a few specific classification and model control of needle roller bearings are introduced here:1, centripetal needle roller and cage assembly (type K)2, outer ring with double lock ring needle roller bearings (NA, NKI, RNA, NK)3. Single row needle roller bearings with double retaining rings (NA, NKI, RNA, NK)4. Double row needle roller bearings with double retaining rings (NA, RNA)5, stamping outer ring needle roller bearings (HK type, BK type)The bearing has low cost and large carrying capacity, and is suitable for the supporting structure with limited size of installation.
- Q: i wasn't to sure how to tell. i didn't think that it mattered but i guess it does. i figured that out when i bought bearings and wheels and they didn't fit inside the wheels. can you please tell me how to tell what kind of bearings i need in this type of situation?
- All legit skateboard wheels have the same size space for bearings - ie they take the same bearings as each other. I think you are experiencing problems because the bearings need to fit very tightly into the wheels so that they don't come out under the huge forces skateboarding exerts So the good news is that you don't need to get anything new. To fit bearings, take one of the wheels off of one of your trucks. Put the bearing down over the axle, put the wheel over the top, and push down HARD (use bodyweight) until it pops into place. Take the wheel off, put the other bearing on the axle, turn the wheel round and repeat so the wheel has 2 bearings on it. It should fit flush into the space. To make sure (or to push it in that bit more) put the wheel on, and tighten the nut on the truck down onto the wheel until the bearings fit snugly. (just don't over-do it or you will wreck the bearings) Alternatively you can buy a tool to push the bearings in, or ask a skate shop to do it for you - but the method above should work easily
- Q: Needle roller bearing is also called cam bearing?
- Seems not.Cam bearings are also called roller bearings and bolt bearings.
- Q: i want something thatl go fast
- I'll cover some basics with you about advanced longboarding. I'll first start by talking about trucks and bushings, then I'll move on to bearings. Longboarding can be divided into two sub-categories, that is downhill riding and free riding. Now each type of riding has different sets of parts which differ from each other to provide maximum performance for the style of riding. Downhill boards are usually at top performance with trucks that have a 42 degree base plate. You will sacrifice the maneuverability and carving ability of trucks with 50 degree base plates to sturdiness if you get 42's. However, you will be able to handle speed much better on 42's and the risk of 'speed-wobbles' will go down. Bushings are pretty difficult to choose. With all different hardnesses and shapes, it's hard to recommend anything that you will be satisfied with. Bearings are simple. Any bearings are basically the same but MAKE SURE you get completely sealed bearings. Ceramic bearings are pricey but supposedly improve performance. I recommend you look into Randall or Paris for trucks (180mm standard), Khiro for bushings (unnecessary), and Bones for bearings.
- Q: recently my grease ball abec 5 have rusted and it is time for new bearings. which ones should i get. i am looking to spendo no more than 35 bucks
- What bearings? ABEC 5 is just a bearing grade......dosent tell anybody anything other than you currently have ABEC grade 5 bearings. What size, What part do they go on, How many do you need?
- Q: I have a 100 dollar budget on either trucks bearings or wheels. I have been riding my long board for a while but I dont really know to much on how most of the parts work. I want my longboard to go faster and stay fast for a while without slowing down. Should I buy new bearings or trucks. I have a sector 9 bob marley pintail longboard with bone reds trucks. If I buy knew bearings or trucks do I have to buy new wheels as well. But If I had to pick either buying new bearings or new trucks which one would be best for my longboard. thanks
- If you have $100 you can seriously buy both. But if you are looking for longer roll time, bearings are what you need. NEVER SPEND A LOT OF BEARINGS!!! Bearings should never cost more than $15. If you get a good set of bearings and keep them cleaned and lubed when needed, there will be no difference between $100 bearings and $10 bearings. I recommend MileHighSkate or Magic bearings if you can get them. They are high quality and $9. If not, Bone Reds are easy to find, but arent as nice and cost $15. I also HIGHLY recommend you get bearing spacers. They are $5 and go inside your bearings and allow you to tighten your wheels all the way, giving you a smoother ride. You should also have speed rings too (those 8 rings that come with your current trucks). Trucks will not help you go faster.
- Q: I've cleaned my 5000-C but the spool doesn't let line on unless you pull even with everything turned to the lowest. Im trying to figure out if the inside has bearing because the bar in the spool doesn't come out at all. Is this normal or is it suppose to come out once you remove the white gear? Need help asap... I've got two other Ambassadeurs and would love to use the 5000-C as another go to reel. Thanks!!!
- the only bearings on the 5000C are the ones at the ends of the spool shaft. one external, underneath the tension adjustment cap and the other inside the opposite sideplate, held in place by a small metal clip. *the only BALL bearings. other turning contact points have bushings which to a nit picker, are, in fact, bearings.
- Q: The school orienteering course has set up three points marked ABC. From A, B has a bearing of 040 degrees. AB is 220m, BC is 180m and CA is 220m. Calculate the bearing of C from B
- Van, Something other than an orienteering course has been setup, because orienteering doesn't use bearings. From point A, the competitor might want to follow the trail until it turns Left, and then continue through the forest 10m to B. From B, the edge of the clearing should be good to run along and then the building on the other side will provide a launching point to find C... Consult a geometry student as those angles and distances might be important to them;-) steve
- Q: I recently got a engine block that looks great, 60k on it but I bought a new crankshaft, and upgraded engine parts. MY friend is telling me I don't have to get the block line bored, but to just replace the bearings...is that going to be a problem? new pistons, rings, seals, and crankshaft...used block. Of course I will get the cylinders done but is the main bearing re-bore necessary????thx
- if its in specs i wouldnt get it line honed. a machnist once told me that the only time the is really necissary is either A. it is out of tolerances, or B. You have new main caps installed
- Q: Was recently told by a friend that my front two wheel bearings needed replaced (actually, that the wiring for them was pulled right out of them - which in an 99 Alero requires replacing the entire system) after an ABS light had been on for quite awhile in my car. Furthermore, he suggested that I also needed to replace a pigtail in my car - though I do not know what that is (anyone know?). He quoted me a $750 price tag on the deal and being our friend, we assume that we are getting some sort of labor deal as well - but checking it out we found some sort of pigtail online but it was only $10. With $190 for each wheel bearing that should add up to only $390 + tax so we were a little confused. Can anyone explain what/how much a pigtail is actually worth and what would be a right price on this fix with without labor? I realize prices are slightly different all over the world - so if it helps, this is in Ohio in the States. Much appreciative!!!
- There is actually several things that could cause a vibration. If the vibration was there prior to the new tires and brakes it is possible that it may be the CV shaft. If an alignment was done when you purchased tires, they should have checked your suspension, ie. ball joints, tie rods(inner and outer) shocks and/or struts. If the vibration came after the tires were put on suspect balace is off... If the vehicle has aluminum rims it is reccomended that you re-torqe the lugnuts after 50 miles...
