Q:im planning o getting a long board and i already have regular bearing and i was wondering if i could use them: They use the same bearings. Don't waste your money on anything more expensive than Bones Reds. Bearings make no difference. If they spin they're good.

Q:sealed bearing hubs: wheel bearings on that truck are sealed.....When they go bad, you replace the bearing/hub as an assembly.....They should last at least 100,000 miles if truck is not treated roughly....I owned a 2000 Silverado that had 146,000 miles on it when I traded it in....and still had the original wheel bearings on it and they were still in good shape.

Q:What exactly is the difference between sealed bearings and regular bearings and sealed pedals and regular pedals.: Sealed bearings require no service. Once they are installed, you use them until it's time to replace them. Regular bearings should be disassembled and repacked with grease from time to time. Sealed pedals have sealed bearings. Q:ok ever one says bone swiss bearings spin for ever!!! well i just got a brand new. apsolotly fresh out of the case bones bearings and i put em on my board and they only spin for 12 seconds!! when i skate with them will that losen em up?? if you have bones bearings, how long do yours spin? and how do i make em faster: bro if there brand new you have to break them in just like trucks or a new pair of skateshoes . Bone swiss are the best bearing you can buy and they will last you a really long time. After you pop a few tre bombs down that 12 set there good to go

Q:I've cleaned my 5000-C but the spool doesn't let line on unless you pull even with everything turned to the lowest. Im trying to figure out if the inside has bearing because the bar in the spool doesn't come out at all. Is this normal or is it suppose to come out once you remove the white gear? Need help asap... I've got two other Ambassadeurs and would love to use the 5000-C as another go to reel. Thanks!!!: the only bearings on the 5000C are the ones at the ends of the spool shaft. one external, underneath the tension adjustment cap and the other inside the opposite sideplate, held in place by a small metal clip. *the only BALL bearings. other turning contact points have bushings which to a nit picker, are, in fact, bearings.

Q:2005 Sport Trac, 2WD, automatic trans w/ aprox 80K milesA few months ago there was a grinding sound from the rear of the truck that increased with speed (a whomb, whomb, whomb type sound) and even a clicking when I reversed. I was doing my breaks and noticed there was some play in the wheel when pushing/pulling but also that when I turned the wheel (both wheels up and trans in neutral) there was some side to side play (not sure if that is normal or not). Also when driving the truck slowly wobbles at low speeds and begins to shake at higher speeds. I noticed that this isn't constant and seems to greatly reduce after a left hand turn. One place told me it was the differential but I am not sure and don't want to spend a bunch of money if it's a bearing as I can replace the assembly myself for under $200.: Sounds like outer wheel bearings but it could be the differential bearings as well. The only way to know is replace the wheel bearings and see if the noise stops. I'd check the gear oil level as well since if you were low on oil that would kill the bearings and the differential. If it's low make sure you add the specific kind for your axle.

In another direction when the rolling direction and spring mounting same direction, not to cause the compression spring, up roller, roller to produce a lot of resistance in between the inner shell and outer shell (the so-called "one-way"), stop rolling bearing.

Q:I got a set of bones reds skateboard bearings about 5 months ago and i heard that theyre really fast. but they have been really slow ever since ive got them. today i squirted wd-40 inside the wheel over the bearings and span them for ages and they span for ages really fast. i heard wd-40 is bad for skateboard beasrings though? i only go to indoor skateparks with it so they dont get that dirty: Wow! Good answers all around! WD-40 made for NASA like in 50's or 60's to protect missile outer covering from moisture, ice build up, rust and all. And it did a fair job. Real rocket science stuff! But early rocket science stuff! With use like in door knobs, locks, wd-40 will collect moisture. Which leads to collecting rust, dust, dirt, and in cold weather ice. It also solidifies...turns gummy. And looses what lubricating qualities it has...After a while...had. So the bearings will spin really fast now as the oil put into bearings is thin.. And later bearings will be ruined by you using the board as the oil breaks down. Have bearings cleaned by a pro or by yourself if mechanically inclined. Then buy a serious lubricating oil made for your skateboarding use. You spent good money for a good board. Do so now with the oil and enjoy!
