- Q: i want to get either rush black swiss or rush ceramic and i want the ones that are better but im not sure which ones are better
- ceramics are very good.
- Q: I got my car alligned and suddelt every time I turn it makes an awful groaning noise. I believe it's the bearings but I JUST had them done a year ago and hardly drive... Could the allignment have caused this? A year seems like such a short time for bearings to last.
- It can but tires would wear out quicker. If you have power steering check fluid, when low groans when turning steering. Add if low and if groaning stops get checked for p.s. leak.
- Q: I'm buying this old classic 1983 yz125 for like 200 bucks. The guy said it needs a piston and bottom end bearings. I'm just a little confused on what bottom end bearings are. Like crankshaft bearings? Also if you know where I can find parts for an 83 that would also help to lol.
- Ebay is the place to look for parts I have seen several complete crank set ups with rod and main bearings for $100 or less but be sure to Write the seller through Ebay and ask if he will guaranty it to be within factory specs and in usable shape if he replies with a yes then Ebay will force that he stand behind his word so it will be a safe purchase oh and don't forget to replace the Crank Seals also Note most shops will charge you $100 or more just to split down a crank and lots of them are not very good at it! It is a very tricky job and very few of the guys out there doing it actually know what they are doing well enough to truly do it right!
- Q: Recently it moves from side to side a bit when you are driving. I has a horrible screeching sound when you drive. and it has a popping sound to it. I've been told it was the bearings. Possible the brakes too. I really don't want to give up on this classic car. So could anyone tell me or give me links to how to fix up the car. PRETTY PLEASE. That car has been with my family for a LONG time, so we really want to fix it and do it ourselves. Let's see, It's pretty much the axel/tires that we don't really know what's wrong. We are tired of getting screwed over with people who claim that fix cars but don't. So any help will be good. Thanks for your time and answers.
- hi, the clicking side to side is wheel bearings, not that hard to fix , the squealing is probably your brakes need replacing,( squealing caused by metal tab contacting disc to tell u brakes need replacing) if the wheel clicks when u move the tire side 2 side when car is stationary it is bearings. To do bearings, take off hubcap, and wheel, and disc caliper, undo cotter pin and big nut, take disc off and bearings on inside and out, pack new ones with grease and replace, tighten nuttill nut is TIGHT then back off 1/3 turn, replace cotter in nearest slot and disc caliper and your done, dont for get to do disc pads when caliper is off, if stuck go to library and get CHALMERS fix-it book for make and model...
- Q: i have a 94 vigor and im going to replace the front rotors/pads soon. it has rotors pressed on the hub (common on early 90s hondas) so when changing the rotors, new wheel bearings have to be put also because when pressed out, the old bearings will be junk. so i will have to remove the steering knuckle and take it to a machine shop so the can press the new bearing in.
- I have been in the automotive industry for 35 years, and I have found that any time suspension repair is done you should always have alignment checked.Even rear alignment can change with time and wear and tear on springs and struts. Its best to spend a little bit of money for assurance than alot for tires.
- Q: I've been searching my textbook and cannot find the types of bearings that are in a manual transmission. I need to know what types are in this type of transmission and when they are active (not being used). I know there's the pocket (pilot) bearing, but there are more. Can someone please help me figure this out? It's much appreciated. Thanks.
- Mainshaft bearings, countershaft bearings, input shaft bearing.....some are tapered, some are roller, some are needle bearings.........
- Q: why combined needle roller bearings for sale is popular in the market? where are they can be used?
- They are particularly suitable for applications where other types of locating bearings occupy too much space, or where the axial loads are too heavy, the speeds are too high, or the lubricant is inadequate for simple thrust washers. So combined needle roller bearings for sale is welcomed. If you are interested in this field, you can get more information from: Changzhou Zhihua Bearings Co., Ltd. It is a professional combined needle roller bearings manufacturer.
- Q: can i install crankshaft bearings without taking the crank out if so? how?
- No,the bearings need to come out so you can first clean the crank journal and second measure the dia.of the journal on the crank and the block to see if you have any wear and what size bearing to go back together with, either standard or an oversize bearing.
- Q: A ship is sailing through the water i the English Channel with a velocity of 2 knots along a bearing of 157 degrees. The current has a velocity along a bearing of 213 degrees. The actual velocity of the ship is the vector sum of the ship's velocity and the water's velocity. Find the actual velocity.Ok so i understand how to do the actual problem, I just have no idea how to convert the bearing degrees into standard form so i can do the problem. I looked at my teacher's review and she gave the standard form for the bearing of 157 degrees as 293 degrees, and the 213 degree bearing as 237 degrees. Well I looked at them and found that the both add up to 450 degrees which i thought might be the solution, but I looked at another problem that had a bearing of 60 degrees and standard position of 30 degrees. Thanks for any help in advance.
- true bearing is a navigational angle. it is oriented such that 000 is at due north, and it increases clockwise. a mathematical angle is oriented so that 0 is at due east and it increase counter-clockwise. as a result, the relationship between the true bearing and a mathematical angle is A1 = 90 degrees - A2 where if A1 is the navigational angle, then A2 must be the mathematical angle, or if A1 is the mathematical angle, then A2 must be the navigational angle. That's why bearing 157 degrees = 90 - 157 = -67 degrees = -67+360 = 293 degrees and bearing 213 degrees = 90 - 213 = -117 deg = -117+360 = 237 degrees === so as long as you convert bearings into mathematical angles, then you can resolve vectors into (x,y) coordinates using the standard transformation x = r cos(t) y = r sin(t) where r is the magnitude of the vector and t is the mathematical angle. otherwise, you have to use x = r cos(90-t) = r sin(t) y = r sin(90-t) = r cos(t) where t is the bearing
- Q: I bought these red bone bearings for my longboard and if i go down hill like little fast and just like carv and go side to side, will that ruin my bearings or what will thank u
- Personally my friend has a longboard with bone reds and he carves, powerslides, and just about everything else, and his bearings are still good today. (He got them installed 2 years ago). And he rides pretty much everyday.
