- No bro! NEVER! EVER! Use WD-40! Maybe just a 5 sec dip BUT NEVER USE WD 40 ON BEARINGS! It'll eat right through it! Use maybe acetone.. its less acid but is still a bit hard.. I usually clean mine by rubbing them with tissue, then put some oil on the tissue and slightly pass it throught.. not to get the liquid stuck in between..

- Get some bones bearing lube. Take the sheilds off the bearing if they have rubber sheilds you can just use a pin or something small. If they have metal sheilds dont try to take them off just wash them from the side without the sheild. Wash the bearings out with water and spin them a bit while you wash them. After that get a cup put some water in it and put any kind of cleaner in it and swish it around a bit then leave them soaking in it for like 10 minutes. After your take them out of the cleaner wash them in water one more time get all the cleaner out then leave them to dry 100%. After that put 1 or 2 drops of bearing lube in each bearing and put the sheild back on and your ready to go.

Well I looked at them and found that the both add up to 450 degrees which i thought might be the solution, but I looked at another problem that had a bearing of 60 degrees and standard position of 30 degrees. - true bearing is a navigational angle. it is oriented such that 000 is at due north, and it increases clockwise. a mathematical angle is oriented so that 0 is at due east and it increase counter-clockwise. as a result, the relationship between the true bearing and a mathematical angle is A1 = 90 degrees - A2 where if A1 is the navigational angle, then A2 must be the mathematical angle, or if A1 is the mathematical angle, then A2 must be the navigational angle. That's why bearing 157 degrees = 90 - 157 = -67 degrees = -67+360 = 293 degrees and bearing 213 degrees = 90 - 213 = -117 deg = -117+360 = 237 degrees === so as long as you convert bearings into mathematical angles, then you can resolve vectors into (x,y) coordinates using the standard transformation x = r cos(t) y = r sin(t) where r is the magnitude of the vector and t is the mathematical angle. otherwise,you have to use x = r cos(90-t) = r sin(t) y = r sin(90-t) = r cos(t) where t is the bearing
- Q: I had found out bones reds are one of the most best bearings for the money, and lots of mates have them so I bought some bones red's from Trademe (the New Zealand version of ebay) and they were real and all. as soon as I got them I rode them all around. but after about a week they were worse than my abec 3's. So I changed Back to them. While I was at the skate park People were saying that bones reds just need wearing into. so I cleaned them by soaking them in turps then putting speed cream on them. - Don't buy anything from anyone you don't know. Never buy from Trademe or eBay because somehting might be wrong with it. If you're going ot buy online then go to a trusted skatesite or a skateshop. Your Reds are probably dented causing more friction. Just pick up some FDK's ($10 abec 3's) or some new Reds.

No, radial bearings do not allow motion along the axis - normally there is a stop on the shaft to prevent this and continuous movement would damage the inner surface of the race or the shaft. Depending on the type of race, having any significant axial force would damage the bearing, as would occur in moving the shaft axially. Thrust bearings in theory are entirely for taking thrush along the axis and properly positioned radial bearings handle the radial forces of belts, chains, wheels, etc. A roller bearing or taper bearing would be used to handle both in one location. In practice, a thrust bearing with a ball race of the right shape will handle radial forces of a significant fraction of the rated thrust.
