Q: can stress from to much weight cause the engine to get hot and cause your water pump to leak out the weep hole? and what else causes it to leak?
There is a number of reasons for your water pump to leak. One could be its tear and wear due to years of used. Second is due to successive overheating. Weight cant cause water pump breakdown, as long as it does not overheats. To much pressure in the cooling system cause its breakdown. Hope this might help!
Q: My car started to leak anti-freeze Really fast, so i had to pour water in there to keep it from overheating, so i took it to my mechanic, and left it there overnight, and they call me the next morning and tell me that the water pump needs to be fixed, and a few belts got water damage on them, and a a few driving belts need to be replaced. he said it would come out to be 695.97, does that sound like the right cost?
Here's okorder /... If the timing belt and belt tensioner pulley was replaced also, that's the going rate for the job. You have an interference engine and a timing belt driven water pump, so I'm sure they changed the timing belt and if they did a good job, you got billed reasonably. If the belt had broken, you may have had to total the car.
Q: how does a water pump work?
Water pump works by suction and lifting up the water to a desired level. The mechanism of pump to increase the hydraulic height/level of fluid. Example : The pump will pump and lift water from a 25 feet deep well and carry it up to fill a water tank placed on a 30 feet high structure.
Q: Water pump
get a chevy better car FORD found on road dead . ha ha ha haha!
Q: and how do I get it to work 24 hours a day?and on the pump there is written: 2 A, and on another part: 220-240 Vdoes that mean its wattage is 440-480Watt?
Hey Don ..did you mean consecutive hours..if so. Here is how to do it..If there is fluid to be pumped there is sometimes a controller that will ask the pump to stop when it reaches low level . And again ON when it senses high level. Find this device, if one exists and either defeat it mechanically or wire around it electrically.Either is pretty simple. NOW that i have told you how to get it to run all the time. I though I might mention a timer..A timer, in series with your pump, will cut it off and give the liquid level a chance to rise as well. Timers can be defeated the same as all other protective devices,, My question is Are you sure this is what you want to do ? The plug on the end of the cord ,it must be a small pump if only 2 amps, should be your only control .If it has an auto off feature it's there to save your pump from burning the barn down ,so to speak, Why not take another look at your application. if you do have an endless fluid supply ,like a closed loop trickling fountain, remember those evaporate if make up water is not added. Sometimes though you need a pump to run 24-7 in which case just fool the controller..Of course the human is the true controller... :) Well I have armed you with enough info to get by on this please do so safely. From the E...
Q: leaking coolant after the car engine has stoppped
if your water pump is leaking fluid -its bad period- it should never leak unless installed incorrectly--signs for bad pump are-noise-grab fan blade wiggle if shaft moves-bad pump-open cap on radiator-no water moving-bad pump-bad pump--
Q: What does water pump mean?
The pump is the pump, and pump the water where you want it
Q: Why does the water pump in the tank pull out the power supply and then plug it in?
After the water pump of the fish tank pulls out the power supply, it is plugged in again. The possible reasons for the non pumping of water are as follows:1, power failure, please check the power supply contact is normal.2, continuous cycle interrupt, this is the pump design reasons, and more appear in the waterfall filter, once the electricity can not automatically restart, need to pump the water in the artificial vessel.3, air embolism, this is the pump design reasons, and more appear in the waterfall bucket filter, once the electricity can not automatically restart, the need for manual pressing to exhaust.4, the water pump is stuck with debris, in the continuous flow of water, debris to the same direction, once the pump stop, debris position change may be stuck water pump, remove, wash it.5, severe wear, which requires a new pump.
Q: Is it ok to drive a car with a bad water pump?
The water pump shaft seal could fail totally at any time. So if you don't want to risk expensive engine damage, you might as well have it fixed now. If your engine timing belt drives the water pump, you may need to replace the timing belt and tensioner as well.
Q: We have a low area in our back yard. The previous owner had a pump installed. The flow switch is in the ground at the lowest point of the yard. The actual pump is 2 feet or so, higher up. We have not had to use it much. But last week, when we have the big storm, it stopped working. It some how worked again, but pumping a lot slower, then it stop pumping again. With this pump, I had to add water to get it primed. The last time I try to add water, the water drains instantly. Any one how what could be wrong with it? It was suggest a seal was broken. Thanks for your help.
If you say that the pump is 2 feet higher you must have a hose onthe suction side of the pump it probably has a foot valve on the end of the hose it must be hung open thats why when you try to prime the the the water flows thru check to see if there is any debris holding the check valve open if there is clean it out close the valve prime with water and try to pump
