Q: How is the line differ from a neutral and ground wires in a three prong plug?
In your standard outlet, (NEMA 1-15 or 5-20 receptalce/plug): The 'Line' is the smaller slot/prog The 'Neutral' is the large slot/prong The ground is the 'pin'/prong.
Q: I have a water valve that I need to connect but I don't know how to read this diagram. I'm unsure how to connect the wires to the cold and hot valve. I have four wires that need to be connected. A pair of white caps with one blue wire and one orange; and a pair of black caps with one blue wire and one yellow wire. Sorry if this sounds confusing but I have no idea how to explain it well. Thanks!
Cold Valve one at the lower left of the schematic should have a yellow wire which connects directly to the controller at the P5 .1 terminal. The blue wire will connect with a wire nut to a blue wire which is a common ground for all three valves. Cold valve 2 has an orange wire which connects to the controller at the P5 .4 terminal in the blue wire should connect to the same blue wire but in a different place again with a wire nut. If that isn't clear enough post a picture of the and maybe I can explain it better.
Q: I went to the craft store and bought some wire but it says stringing wire. Will that work? Also whats a good website to buy jewelry making supplies from?
stringing wire is generally the best type for wire wrapping. i usually go with 22 gauge wire because it it good for small intricate designs and is easy to work with.
Q: Green (ground), got it.Black (positive), got it.White (common), got it.Gray wire with like a black fiber in it, what is this? This is a pendant light so my guess is its just a filler wire to bulk up the cord it hangs from, am I right?
The gray wire is used as a physical support for the light fixture. You tie each end to the light fixture and to the box where the power wires are connected. This is so that you don't use the power wires as a physical support (hanger) to hold the light in place. Think of a swag lamp from years ago. The lamp hung from a chain connected between the lamp and the ceiling. The power cord never supported the weight of the lamp fixture. The black fiber in the gray wire is a strong cord.
Q: I did an engine swap with some friends and everything is in place, from the rebuild 700R4 w/ a shift kit, to the rebuild 350 bored .30 over. But all I have left to do is the wiring, but have no idea how to. So about how much would it cost to have a professional finish the wiring?
The wiring on a basic carburated non emissions engine is pretty basic...it's something you could do by yourself in your garage. Anyone that has any knowledge in wiring and electricity could wire it up. Don't let it scare you! :)
Q: I am in the process of installing a new thermostat, but I ran into the problem: new thermostat has 4 ports W, Y, R and G. But the old thermostat has 5 wires: W, Y, G and B. I am not sure where B wire (black color) should go. Do I need to look for another thermostat that has a port for B wire?
The black wire should be for ground. You and try to connect it without the black first to see if everything works ok, if it does tape off the black and tape it to the other wires. If not look at your UPM diagram and see which port is for ground and it should hook up with that wire. But I would double check with the heat pump wiring diagram to see what that black goes to and verify that wire with a multimeter.
Q: the sensor part has 4 wires,(2 white,1 black and 1 red)each light has 1bl.and 1white
The other answer that has directions doesn't sound right for your case. Do you have a link to the actual product? Two white wires sounds strange, unless they have stripes or something to differentiate them. It seems pointless to have 2 wires that would just be connected together. Give me a link or the actual brand/model number and I'll give more information.
Q: What is a tubeless wire and how does it work?
It is a wire without a tube. It works properly, it has a larger section than the usual wires, but is cheaper (Al is cheaper than Cu).
Q: 6000+ heat sinc wires?i up graded my cpu and the new heat sinc has a 4 wire conector and my old 3800+ heat sinc has 3 and mobo has 3 pin processor works great. sys recognizes amd 6000+ dual core processor @ 3.0 ghz but not the model #???? sys works great scored 10143 on 3DMARK 06 anyway the fan and temp s are all good any ideas what the other wire is
Yes, the fan on your heat sink has a fourth wire that..............(tune back in tommorrow folks, for the conclusion), (sorry, somebody's telling jokes over here!) The fourth wire is a Speed control wire. The first wire,(Red), is 12VDC,(power), the second,(Black), is the ground, should be a Blue wire, for rpm sensor, and the fourth,(color codes vary), is the wire that the BIOS uses to speed the fan up when the temp of the cpu raises, slows the fan down, when it isn't used as hard. Temp of the cpu, is found through one of it's pins on the bottom of it.
Q: I'm trying to install an aftermarket radio in my 2005 suzuki forenza, but it isn't working. The display on the radio doesn't even light up. I'm thinking that it is because there are some unused wires on the oem harness. There is no plug on the original harness thanks to a previous owner, so an adapter plug is out of the question, so i just need to know what wires should or should not be connected to what other wires. The ones which have no equivalent on the aftermarket radio are: illumination wire, and dimmer wire. If someone could provide some info, that would be awesome. The radio being installed is a sony cdx-gt57up.
