Q: how do I replace this, the wire is built into the speaker and runs into the unit.
Easy to replace. Just get a new dog. Small breed if it's a tweeter. Beagle sized for mid-range. And of course Lab or larger for that all important Woof-Woofer.
Q: Can you swap out a 1984 Porsche 944 wiring harness with a different car's wiring harness? If which car. Thank you.
Sure. You are going to have to make a lot of patches to the other wiring harness to make it work.
Q: I'm replacing the ground wire in a chandelier because it has been cut by the previous owner when it was removed from the ceiling. Overall it is pretty simple and I have everything diagramed. When I went to Radio Shack and bought the replacement wire they gave me 18 gauge solid insulated hookup wire. It looks totally different. The ground wire is a braided copper wire (7 strands). Should I go back and take my copper wire with me and get copper or is what I have just as good? An electrician will do the installation of the chandelier into the ceiling.
The reason they use copper as it does not corrode...
Q: where does the expression 'down to the wire', come from?
I found this online: The wire is used in a four-legged footrace-- at least I've only ever heard the word tape used for races involving bipeds. That and ribbon. The wire in question is an actual wire, and it's used in the Sport of Kings, horseracing. A tape or ribbon would be too stretchy to instantaneously trip the shutter on the finishing-line camera when it was crossed. A horse has no problem busting through a single strand of wire.
Q: i want to install a new light in a old house.the problem is that there are three black wires coming out of he ceilng.the old light fixture has two black wires. two ceiling wires are connected to one fixture wire and the other ceiling wire i connected to he other fixture wire.i dont know which is the hot wire and which is the comon wire.also the new light has a ground wire ,2 blue wires and 2 white wires but, there is no ground wire coming out of the box. please help
Seems to me you are dealing with an old knob and tube wiring system, not complicated. You probable have three cotton coated wires in the ceiling box, they used to be coded and now they're tarnished. Two of the wires are common or neutral and one live being fed from the switch. When you removed the old fixture two wires were connected to one side of the light fixture these are the common wires and one wire was connected to the other side of the fixture this is the live wire from switch. If you can't remember which was which, simply get a tick tracer this device senses a live wire and with the power off verify that you have no live in the ceiling, with power on try again, if you find one power it's as I have said and the remaining wires are common, if not call an electrician they won't charge that much to hang a light fixture and you'll have peace of mind. Good luck.
Q: me and my friend were doing a circuit challenge and we did the same circuit but she used thicker wires. does it make a difference?
Thicker wires = larger path for electrons to flow through. If the wire was thin, not as many electrons go through it. But a bigger wire means the electrons flow faster and the overall system receives and gives off energy faster.
Q: i am looking for a wire diagram for a 03 eclipse gts with an infinity factory radio and built in amp. i was curios if you can add another amp and sub to this system to give it a little more bass

Q: If you were to hot wire your car and didn't have the manual to consult the color code, what would be some ways to identify which wires are {power} and {starter}? If you were to cut all wire pairs and attempt different combinations, would that result in imminent failure? (knowing the different pairs correspond to different key positions)

Q: i have an amp (sony xm 2002gtr) that says it requires 4 gauge wire..but they cost $100+ and i have plenty of 8 gauge wires. can i use two 8 gauge wires as a substitute for one 4 gauge wire?and also, i have my capacitor grounded to unpainted metal of my car AND the ground port of my amp..is that incorrect?
Two 8-gauge wires combined are equal to a 5-gauge wire, but that should be close enough for that amp. Make sure each wire has its own fuse near the battery; 40-amp fuses would be a good choice. If you capacitor is connected to ground, and your amp is grounded, then you don't really need a wire between the capacitor's ground terminal and the amp's ground terminal. It doesn't hurt anything, though. If the only ground wire at the amp is the one that runs to the capacitor, then you're better off connecting the amp ground directly to chassis metal.
Q: I have a JVC KD-R210 does it have a wire fore it or what do I do
it's the blue wire with the white strip on your head unit
