- Q: The other day I just found out that I had a hand-made rug that was made in Iran and bought by my grandparents about 10-15 years ago, the rug is about 6x8 and they paid around $2000 dollars for it.My question is what is the proper way to clean a rug that is hand-made? It has not been cleaned in years only vacuumed... and also is there a market place for these rugs? if I do decide I want to sell it.
- I also have an old middle eastern rug and I only vacuum it. I understand that the best thing to do if it needs cleaning is to consult an antique rug dealer who might do the cleaning in house or be able to refer you. I have heard the usual rug cleaning services are not right for this type of work.

- pulling the rug won't work. dream clown's effect works when it's switched from attack to defense position. if stumbling is on the field and you summon dream clown in attack mode, stumbling will switch it in defense mode. since dream clown's effect only activates when it's switched from attack to defense, pulling the rug won't work because it only negates the effect of monsters that activate when normal summoned (monarchs, gadgets, etc.)
- Q: Someone spilt some blue WKD on my cream carpet and I've tried carpet stain remover, white wine and an industrial carpet cleaning machine. Are there any other ways which will remove the stain?
- I don't know what wkd is, but here is a way to remove most stains that can be removed. A cup of warm water with 2 drops of a liquid laundry soap, mix well. Using your fingers dampen the carpet fibers. Try not to get the back of the carpet wet. After the carpet is wet , make a big pile of white paper towels on top of the wet spot. Now put a weight on top that will not rust or bleed from the water. Maybe a cookie sheet with a brick on top. Leave it covered for 12 to 24 hours. Remove . Look at the paper towel if the stain has transferred to the paper you are on the right track. Just keep doing it until its gone. There is a chance that the wkd has removed the color from the carpet and you can not fix it. Also you may have set the stain with the wine. For your information carpet cleaners have equipment and stain removers that home owners can not buy. Calling a carpet cleaner is a lot less money than replacing the carpet. One last word , your home owners insurance company may cover the cost of replacement.
- Q: how to repair flattened carpet?
- Depends on how old it is and the quality of the carpet. If it was purchased in the last 10/15 years and your talking a large area,it may or may not have the memory retention built into the carpet. If it does, a good cleaning by a professional , truck mounted person can bring some life back yo it.Some lower quality carpets don t have this and you may not be able to. If your talking small area like a chair leg that has crushed it down, try 2 different methods.One is to let a ice cube set on the spot and then vacuum it. Two is to take a steam iron and steam the area. Don t touch the carpet with the iron, you ll melt it.Just inject steam into the dent. Work it a bit with your fingers to bring it back up.. Wine stains on the clothes, or mix glutinous rice and detergent well, after freezing, the chew gum will become crispy, the gum stains or merbromin stains on walls or other items, and then put the clothes to soak in cold water. If there are still some dirty places, you can remove the stains, and then use soap or alcohol to wash.
