- I would say go to the store and get an all purpose cleaner. Spray or pour it onto the surface and let it soak in. This should help a lot.
- Q: How come my carpet is Dirty, i vaccum twice a day, mop my Floor, I live in a old apt, on 2nd Floor. i shamboo my carpet twice a month, but i just dont understand because my carpet look clean but my feet is always black from the carpet.. do i need to throw and get new carpet or tiles?? my carpet is Brown (short).
- There is dirt in there from before you moved in. It's probably so old, you won't ever be able to get all the dirt out! It's amazing how absorbent that stuff can be. (Heck, maybe it wasn't always brown!) You need to put a work order in to your apartment to get the carpets cleaned.
- Q: I just moved into a 1st floor/basement apartment. Its currently has tile floors wich are nice but are extremely cold to walk on in the winter. I was thinking about putting carpet down until I stumbled across carpet tiles in home depot. Since im renting I dont want to damage the current ceramic tile floor, should I lay down regular carpet or use carpet tiles? I don't care about grout lines and i dont want anything glued to the floor. It doesnt need to be the best job I will more then likely do it myself. If I lay regular carpet do I need padding? Or if I use carpet tiles, what kind of barrier should I have between the current floor and the carpet to proctect the ceramic tiles?
- Before you buy anything.....ask your manager/landlord FIRST. If they are ceramic floors - then YOU can NOT glue anything to them. You will probably only be able to buy area rugs.

- Q: I have 5 kids and we rent our house .well it got so bad we rented a rug doctor it took so much of the dirt out I couldn't belive how dirty the water was. It didn't take long for the carpet to dry after we did it but now when you get down next to the floor it still smells like dirty socks!.does this mean I got the pad to wet or maybe I didn't mix the soap right?what can I do to take out that dirty sock smell?
- carpet always smells like a wet dog. lol You can rent the rug doctor again but this time when after you shampoo... rinse with vinegar water. this will help remove soap residue and help keep your carpet from picking up more dirt that sticks to soap.
