Drawn Cup Needle Roller Bearing :

The outer ring of drawn cup needle roller bearing is punched with the high-quality steel sheet. The outer ring has thin wall.The drawn cup needle roller bearing has the characterstics of small radial section area, large load carring capacity ,less inertia and economic manufacture. It is suitable for small section heght, or when the housing bore isnot used for raceway , this type is recommended to use .The bearing is assembled into the housing bore under a certain pressure without fu rther axial location.

The draw up needle roller bearing generally takes its shaft diameter as the internal raceway .However , the proper LR type inner ring can be  used in accordance with application condition.

Q: i bought some new bearings today, Bones Reds. the guy at the shop said that they were so fast they didn't need an abec. after riding i thought that my old bearings, the rush abec-7's, went faster. i just wanted to know which is faster
probably bones reds. bones has been making bearings almost as long as skateboarding has been around. and all that abec measurement stuff is all bull poop they are just measuring how long and how fast a bearing will spin for on some metal pole they aren't measuring it under pressure and the conditions of when your actually riding so go with the bones
Q: i wannn know to see if its a good idea to try :)
The gasoline will strip away the grease that lubes the bearings. It will make the bearings wear out faster if thats what you are wanting.
Q: ok I took apart my bearings, cleaned the shields with water, put about 2 drops of lube in each after letting the bearings sit in a 50% alcohol solution for 10 minutes, put it all back together after drying off the stuff and lubing it. Just rode it today and it seems that the bearngs are making noise.... is this normal???
Don't just let them sit in the solution, you have to shake them around to get the crud out. You can get a Bones Bearing Cleaning Kit, or make your own (Google is your friend here). If I haven't cleaned my bearings in a while, I usually rinse heavily with water to get thick dirt off, then put them in a 90% alcohol solution (50% is a bit low, that's half water) in that Bones cleaning it, shake for ~10 minutes, and then do it again, then wait until they dry (put them on a heat vent or something), then two drops in each bearing and I spin them to make sure they're quiet before re-assembling the shields and whatnot. If they're still noisy, I put another drop of lube in.
Q: I'm sick of decent bearings costing $50+ for a set. So i started looking at industrial bearings from reputable companies like Fafnir and Timkin, and I'm gonna try putting on non skate-specific bearings cuz they'd be cheaper. BUT I need to know the outside diameter of the bearing and the inside diameter. Only I don't have an exact way of measuring the dimensions. If you know, please help me out! THanks!
i wouldn't do that if i were you. i don't skate long boards myself, but as i'm changing my set up every few months, the LEAST important thing is bearings. just get them from the skateshop, but don't bother with the decent ones. you'd be surprised that there isn't much difference between bones ceramics and the cheapest skateshop bearings with no brandname. i've also found, the more expensive, the easier they break.so don't bother with industrial bearings, save time by getting the cheapest bearings from a skateshop. +/- $10.
Q: I have a 96 ford ranger with manual lockouts ive seen people say u need whole assembly for 2000 and up but when I look for it I can find any that will fit mine
The 96' has regular taper bearings but it matters when getting the bearing you have to specify if your Ranger has the Dana35 or the Dana28 axle. NOTE: The 00' Ranger does have the Hub assembly style bearings.
Q: My bike has a hub for a shimano freewheel with 7 gears. One of the dust covers in the hub is bended inwards and the cone goes through it. As a result the bearings come out. I was told by a bike's mechanic these dust covers are very hard to find and they are mostly manufactured for the specific wheel. Is that true? Do I have to change a full hub just because of this little dust cover? I did a quick search and found some for Shimano hubs but have not found one that looks like mine.
If the cones are properly adjusted, you could remove the dustcaps and the bearings would not fall out. Any hub made for freewheels will fit any brand of freewheel, your hubs are not made specifically for Shimano freewheels. The bike mechanic is correct, the dustcaps are specific to the brand and model of hub you have, but if bearings are falling out, there is a lot more wrong with your hubs that the dustcaps. The hubs have to be completely disassembled and inspected to see what is wrong. If the hubs are too damaged to rebuild, new wheels will cost less than changing a hub. If the hub is damaged, the rest of the wheel will also probably be in poor condition
Q: So when the wheels don't turn too well its the bearing that need the cleaning right? If possible instructions on how to clean bearings would be nice.
Oooo guy, cleansing bearings is a tricky interest. ok 1st, dont pour a answer/water/something liquid on them. it can cause them to rust up and that wouldnt be relaxing. in case you pick to bathe the exterior of them whilst their nevertheless interior the wheel, what i do is take a toothpick and in basic terms scrape off the airborne dirt and dirt and grim. it works surprisingly darn nicely.
Q: I currently have reds skateboard bearings and they are pretty good but i'm getting a new custom complete and i heard that bones bearings are pretty good to, if you guys can help me out, even if there are better brands post me an answer. Thanks guys.
Same Brand
Q: My rear bearings are bad I have a new set I just want to no how difficult they are to change and what it all consists of
rear bearings in the engine or the differential. the two are very different but either one would be a project. the engine, you would have to pull the engine out or pull the oil pan off and deal with it that way. pull all of the main bearing caps and replace them. the rear end is a bit more complex as you have to pull the axles out, pull the carrier and start from there.
Q: Need 3 5/8 closed end bearings.
Check okorder . They'll have what you need if you can navigate your way through their enormous on-line catalog to find it. You'll need a credit card to place an order. These folks must be the world's largest engineering supply company. You want pillow bearings for a 3 5/8 shaft? They won't be cheap. Why would anyone want a closed end linear bearing -- sounds like an oxymoron. Seems I have more questions than answers.
