The outer ring has thin wall.The drawn cup needle roller bearing has the characterstics of small radial section area, large load carring capacity ,less inertia and economic manufacture. It is suitable for small section heght, or when the housing bore isnot used for raceway , this type is recommended to use .The bearing is assembled into the housing bore under a certain pressure without fu rther axial location.

- You get bearings. Bearings are one of the only part of the bike that actually do follow a mostly industry standard. Unless you're one of those roadie freaks who wants ceramic bearings, just go to your LBS to get replacements. Specify if they're for the headset or for the hubs or the bottom bracket, and the shop will send you on your merry way with the right ones.

- Q:people always say there bearings make them go faster but i dont think this is true. in my experience its more the wheel you ride that affects speed. size hardness are both factors but bearings just dont make a significant difference. as long as they spin freely and smooth it doesnt matter whether there swiss ceramics or abec 3 because the extra friction in the threes isnt enough to slow you down. unless the threes are rusted and dont spin. is this true? would others agree? ppeople seem to think the bearings have engines or something. i just use 18 dollar redz and keep them in good shape and they work fine
- sometimes its all about the bearings if there cheap i've used speed demons witch aren't that good but i just got some element and they are why faster then the speed demons so i think it all depends on the person as they say to whom there own.

- Bones Reds try and get ceramic bearings keep maintenance on them every month and don't worry about ABEC ratings cause it counts for nothing and you will have bearings for at least a year or two depending on where and how you skate.

- It could cause you to have an accident. Bad bearings can run a long time though, if you can live with the noise. Once you start feeling a vibration you should go ahead and replace them.

- All skate bearings are the same size. Bones reds are great bearings because if they are broken in enough, they have spun as long as my bones swiss on my old mystery board. Some other great bearings are black panthers and pigs checks bearings.
