The outer ring of drawn cup needle roller bearing is punched with the high-quality steel sheet. The outer ring has thin wall.The drawn cup needle roller bearing has the characterstics of small radial section area, large load carring capacity ,less inertia and economic manufacture. It is suitable for small section heght, or when the housing bore isnot used for raceway , this type is recommended to use .The bearing is assembled into the housing bore under a certain pressure without fu rther axial location.

- That will bring dirt in and it will ruin the bearings quicker. The plus side is you can clean and oil them easier.

- Hahaha you chose an amazing time to ask this question! I'm in no way a professional bike rider but just yesterday I ventured to replace one of my bottom bracket bearings. I was told to use thick grease, NOT oil (if that's even a question in your mind.. bably not though). I successfully took it all apart, removed the grease that was in there (there was a LOT) and put the one new bearing in and the old one, along with a good amount of black general purpose grease. It worked flawlessly too, I've been riding it around all day with no problem. Hope that helped! And good luck with your shop :)
- Q:A friend of mine had his Nissan repaired recently. He had the timing chain and water pump replaced. A week later, the car dies. He returns to the shop that fixed it. They say his ball bearings are pretty much gone and that he needs a new engine. When he asked what could have caused this, they say that somewhere along the line a previous shop put the wrong trans fluid in his car and that that is the cause of this whole thing. Is this possible?
- whoever changed the timing chain didnt do it right and it skipped a tooth and destroyed your engine. (think bicycle chain coming off the bike, while standing on the pedals) i would have yr friend take it to a shop, not say anything about previous maitinence and see what the new shop says.

- CV joints usually make noise only on hard turns under acceleration. It's more of a low knock knock knock noise. Wheel bearings make more of a grinding sound, similar to the noise made by a brake rotor being ground away by the metal part of a brake pad after the pad material is gone. The wheel bearing noise gets louder as you go faster. Clicking noise can be caused by anything stuck in a tire (stone, nail,etc.) and I've seen brakes make a clicking noise when the pads are loose in the caliper mounts. If you jack the car up, you can try shaking the tire in and out holding it on the top and bottom, or from left to right which will tell you if you have worn suspension parts or a bad wheel bearing. Noises are at times hard to pinpoint. Make sure you check your lug nuts, they can loosen up if not torqued properly. Have a mechanic take the vehicle for a ride, test drives are usually free.

- Q:I wanna clean and lubricate my longboard bearings. Can I soak them in Mr.Clean to get the dirt out, or would that cause damage to my bearings?
- Mr. Clean is water based, it will cause the bearings to rust. Use a solvent based cleaner. I use denatured alcohol. Once the bearings are clean, use a skateboard bearing lubricant.
- Q:I have two land features which have line-of-sight to each other but are separated by several miles. It's very easy for me to get to one of them, and very difficult to get to the other one. I want to plot both on a map. - With roller bearings there are small rollers between the moving and non-moving part so that there would theoretically be no friction. Ball bearings work in a similar way.
