- Id say stear clear of skateboard brands that also make bearings, I only get 1 of two bearings, either bones reds, they range from $15-20, they are quick bearings right out of the box, they are relatively cheap and sturdy, bones swiss bearings will spin longer, so you wont have to spend as much time pushing, but they cost about $45-50. Dont waste you money on other bearing brands that use abec ratings, if you have the money for them id say the swiss are worth it, but if not reds are the way to go.

- Q: I have a 1990 240sx that has an Sr20det motor. I was driving home one day and about 15 minutes from home my engine started sounding like marbles. When I got home after only 15 minutes of it sounding like that I turned it off and removed the oil pan and there were definitely pieces of rod bearing in it. - Q: Car was making grinding noise while moving. Replaced both wheel bearings and the noise went away. Drove car for 2 days then suddenly on the highway the noise comes back. - Tractor, I am only familiar with replacing the rear wheel bearings on a '98-'02 Corolla so I hope that this write-up is of use to you: First you jack your car up and for safety you place it on a floor jack . Then you remove the brake drum off . Once you remove the brake drum you turn your the bearing until the hole lines up with the four bolts that hold it. Once you remove the bolts then you can remove the bearing , You might need a rubber hammer to tap it off . Then you get brake cleaner and spray the area to clean it up . Remove any grease there . While you you are there check out your wheel cylinders for leakage and your brake shoes for any wear . Give them a lightly sanding if they look shiny. Compare the two hub bearing . The OEM has a open back and the aftermarket has a sealed back. Right now is a good time to point out that going with OEM hub bearings is a better choice than after market because the quality is usually of a higher quality. Then you can put your hub bearing back on put some anti seize on the bolts then tighten and recheck . Spin it . Put some anti seize on the studs . Put your brake drum back on and adjust your rear brakes if necessary. Then put your wheel back on , make sure you tighten up your lug nuts and then you are done!

- i've never heard of dragon bearings but some really good quality bearings are china reds. and they arent to expensive. personally, i dont think element is a good brand. my friend had one and the board was horrible. it had no concave at all (a flat peice of wood) and it broke really easy. me and my friend both have enjoi boards currently and he says its way better than his old element board. i suggest Enjoi

- You'll need a tool called a slide hammer and the proper associated fittings to remove rim bearings. Personally, I wouldn't reuse bearings that were removed. These are often cheap enough to just purchase new without worry that soon you'll be replacing them soon. Since you're dealing with bicycle bearings, they're going to be pretty cheap. Industrial and vehicle related bearings will cost more. The slide hammer attachement basically grabs the bearing pack from the inside diameter where the shaft would slide through. the attachment is connected to the slide hammer. you hold the rim down and slide the hammer weight towards you or upwards in a fast motion.
